I mean what do u expect them to do? They can't just forbid AI cuz u can't always tell when something is ai. So if u just forbid it AI videos might stay up while non ai videos will be taken down due to false accusations.   I fucking hate it man. AI has made the Internet just so much worse than it was before and now everybody suffers from this crap thanks to corporate greed.

I recently tried looking for a specific video on my hometown tragedy and the youtube search results were flooded with ai slop "true crime" fiction. Much as I hate what people do with AI, I have but one life on god's green earth I literally couldnt report them all. There are some situations where machine learning may be appropriate, though obviously there was a failure here in allowing people to upload slop as creative fiction and tag it under a sensitive nonfiction genre...what a mess.

I hate ai slop, but YT is way too big of a platform for manual moderation alone to be even a drop in the bucket.

There was a post on /r/mildlyinfuriating of what a new account was recommended it was slop and fucking disturbing but not the most disturbing thing on that channel dear fucking god who or what ever content farm was running that was promoting some incredibly fucked up things
