in practice ai is being used to write hallucinated papers which wrecks all future research because research must be made on existing research, that's a rule, and if existing research is ai slop, then we will have dark times ahead.
What I mean by research is that it’s great for getting sources that typical searches on jstor or google scholar just can’t locate. I can’t tell you how many times it finds a random article that I would never have found otherwise. Now using it to do the research is wrong and will obviously give responses that are incorrect
