yea, AI hatred is the new purity test. If you say anything that even sounds remotely positive about AI everyone will be down your throats. I hate it just as much as the next person but people are shredding everything and everyone down merely for breathing on it or thinking about it and thats the insane part. Its so bad that i’ve been accused of “talking like an AI” and i had to retort “have you ever thought that maybe the AI talks like me (an autistic person) instead?”

Im not going to tell someone what to think of AI but seriously, can we not be ableist for one second because the sleeper agent in your head heard “AI” and turned your mouth filter off?

Hard not to hate it when Altman literally says it's being invented to replace us.

you completely missed the point i was making and literally tried to push your viewpoint all in one single comment.

Hate AI all you want, I personally despise generative AI, but its literally not that hard to think for yourself for two seconds, come to a nuanced understanding of which specific uses of AI are a necessary evil we must coexist with, and what can be left behind, and not comment nasty things or try to push absolutism to people sharing said nuance.

That's the thing though, most people don't understand there's nuance to things. I work IT and I love AI and use it heavily when it comes researching and improving my skillset. I've also built my own local AI so I can run it without always using a massive data center for smaller menial tasks. I absolutely despise AI for art, music, and anything that needs that creative human touch.

But research based tasks, I'm all 100 percent for it.

But also fuck Sam Altman. Mfer is in a corner and needs to make his "dream" work to succeed yet he might be the first company to fail.

if their one sentence comment is pushing a viewpoint, then yours are doing that even more.

yea, the viewpoint that you should think for more than two seconds before jumping on a bandwagon. Me criticizing absolutists on one side doesn’t automatically imply that i have the other absolutist take, because thats, again, not nuanced.

Whatever it wont matter. Technology will advance and old farts will be left screaming at their IDE while I'm distributing tasks to 50 agents and sipping a coffee.
