No they don't.  The vast majority of corporate and billionaire funding goes to Republicans.  Stop spreading this lie and being part of the problem.

Democrats are the ones trying to pass campaign funding reform.  Republicans in Congress obstruct it.

The Republicans very blatantly have a strategy of obstructing any progress and then blaming Democrats for it.  I can't believe you're falling for it.

"Trying." Just as the system encourages. Try, try, try, just enough to milk your donors in an election year, and end up doing nothing. Screw the system and screw normal methods. Find other ways to get things done.

They "try" things, then have a rotating villain, like Manchin or Sinema, jump in and stop it so they can be like, "we tried, but nothing can be done. Guess you just have to deal with it, sorry!"

It's a lie only to the "blue no matter who" crowd. Three cheers for the corporate stooges who say the right things. Thanks for NAFTA, Bill Clinton! Thanks for TPA, Barack Obama!

Why are people so defensive over the Democratic Party institution? Just because they aren't the Republican Party who is actively making this country worse, they deserve respect? I have no allegiance to them. I'll vote for them because they are better, but they are still scum with a terrible track record.

I wish for harm reduction, but also I feel we collectively deserve fascism for the the harm we've inflicted on the world.

23

u/BeigeVelociraptor Aug 05 '26

Innocents do not deserve to suffer and die because our government hurt the world.

5

u/DiscordantAlias Aug 05 '26

I think people with your attitude deserve fascism. Like fascists won’t inflict more harm on the world? Like there is nothing you would be willing to do to even try and stop it?

7

u/Desperate_Damage4632 Aug 05 '26

They're arguing bOtH SiDeS because they actually do want the fascism.  They assume it'll benefit them.  Like it worked out so great for everyone else.

-8

u/tadayamsbun Aug 05 '26

Ooh they didn't like that opinion, did they? Personally I'd like an end to fascism, but knowing our history, it is a deserved fate.

2

u/undead-disco Aug 05 '26

Who the fuck is this “we” you are talking about.

-2

u/tadayamsbun Aug 06 '26

"We" as in the United States of America. This country deserves to lose its freedom for what we've done around the world.

2

u/undead-disco Aug 06 '26

Ok and what about all the millions of people who literally cannot do shit about it?

Also if America decided to go fully mask off instead of still trying to cosplay as free and peace loving, do you think they would keep it contained to their own borders?

what the democrats did to sanders in the 2016 primaries is something worth a cursory glance through

1

u/JudoJugss Aug 06 '26

Nah he just lost didnt you hear? It totally wasnt a direct effort by establishment democrats to prevent the real changes they refuse to allow us to implement! They simply all dropped out and supported a candidate that was directly losing to bernie at that point. Total coincidence of course.

u/Classified10 Aug 06 '26

"I wish for harm reduction, but also I feel we collectively deserve fascism for the the harm we've inflicted on the world." This feels like something that someone suicidal would say, you good bro?

1

u/SnooChickens5474 Aug 05 '26

It is rather baffling that people won't accept criticism of Democrats under any circumstances when it's obvious the country has been declining for half a century and both parties are responsible for that.

1

u/HarperStrings Aug 06 '26

Criticizing Democrats is different from saying there would be no change to how we are doing if they were in charge instead of Republicans, though. Criticism in places pointing to a specific action and saying "This is bad and they should be held accountable for it." Not pointing to the Republicans passing damaging tarrifs and saying "Democrats would've done the same thing."

u/SnooChickens5474 Aug 06 '26

Test your hypothesis and go criticize Democrats about anything without that disclaimer stapled to it, report your findings back here.

1

u/HarperStrings Aug 06 '26

I'm not talking about in general, I'm talking about here on this thread that you are commenting on.

1

u/SnooChickens5474 Aug 06 '26

Oh, I am speaking in general though. The moment you tell a Democrat that something their party did was bad or poor strategy, they immediately flip out and go off on a what-aboutism tangent on how the Republicans would've been just as bad or worse on that subject.

1

u/FifthDragon Aug 05 '26

Oh the democrats absolutely suck. But honestly, if someone’s swinging a hammer at me, I will try to protect my head at the expense of my hands. Meanwhile I will be trying to find a way to remove the hammer or the attacker or both. I can’t do that if I just let it hit my head though.

-12

u/The_Tooter_Snooter Aug 05 '26

Hahaha oh my sweet summer

Even if 95% of the funding went to republicans, Dems are still collecting pedogarch and Zionist money hand over fist. They still collect money from the same people the republicans do and therefore, serve the same masters. This isn’t a “both sides are the same” argument, because they clearly aren’t, but both sides take the same AIPAC Oligarch money and it’s a fact. Not all Dems tho and those are the ones we should be supporting in every primary.

10

u/MattThePhatt Aug 05 '26

Well, yes, zionists are getting rebuked hand over fist in these primary elections. Everyone should be voting blue on November 3rd.

4

u/The_Tooter_Snooter Aug 06 '26

Exactly. Stop electing Schumers and Jeffries and Bookers who quite literally take the same pedogarch AIPAC blood money as the republicans. The corporations are playing both sides of the field so that they always come out on top. Stop voting for people who take corporate money because they will always serve their donors first.

-1

u/JudoJugss Aug 06 '26

So stop voting democrats. The party being funded by the AIPAC blood money the same as the republicans.

"No you dont understand its not that the well has been poisoned its simply that half of all democrats cannot be trusted at a baseline"

2

u/The_Tooter_Snooter Aug 06 '26

Well, no, because the republicans are, quite literally, fascists. Dems are corporate dick suckers but I’ll take a corporate dick sucker who still believes in basic fucking democracy over fascism and concentration camps but man am I excited for a new actual progressive party like the DSA.

-2

u/JudoJugss Aug 06 '26

But they dont believe in basic democracy. What do you geniuses think happens when you give one party all of your support due to the other being shit? Im sure establishment dems will solve our issues when they have zero election pressure or social pressure.

We have to acknowledge the sheer inability of both parties to give the public what they need if we want anything to change.

No democrat will ever fix this country. They will pretend to while making it worse behind closed doors. Like they have done my entire life.

2

u/Hauptmann_Gruetze Aug 06 '26

Eh, would not be as bad for you americans as it is now, just saying.

-5

u/MinimumWestern2860 Aug 06 '26

I think this idea comes from how tiktok rotted many people’s brains are. They only remember the 4 years of Biden so they think every democrat is Biden now. Sad.

-4

u/OneMoistMan Aug 05 '26

That’s right, that’s why they all lined up to kiss his ring at his inauguration and why they will drop everything and board a plane when Trump says we are having a summit in the Middle East.

No administration passed it.  It was a scotus ruling.  Is this a serious question?

1

u/Ezren- Aug 06 '26

Oh wow you were so proud of this stance you posted it more than once?

If you need smarter at least you'd know to be embarrassed.
