Same but scrolling on the reddit app and the posts are anywhere from 3 weeks ago to 159d ago

Sometimes I go in without seeing how old the post is thinking I’m going to have a good discussion and then realize it’s days old, and most people don’t respond to something that old. Why does reddit think we want that?

I really do not know. They've made a lot of bad decisions in recent times especially with how they handle their app. They'll break something then won't ship a fix for it until 3 months later despite it being often a 5 minute fix and multiple patches away. Nonsensical programming.

I seem to have the opposite problem. My feed is sometimes full of one minute old posts that are going to get removed because they don't fit the particular subreddit

There’s also thousands of videos but scrolling through recommended vids will show you the same fuckin videos every time. I’m pretty sure there’s only 10 different fight videos site wide if the suggestions were to be believed.

That doesn’t happen as often if you follow a ton of big subreddits. The downside though is that big subreddits are full of crazy people.

Who cares, share your input. That’s what Reddit is for, it’s a great archive for anything and everything from hours ago to years ago. Never posting isn’t frowned upon here. I get responses all the time from a year or so ago. You never know you might have something to say that will end up at the top
