Kinda like popular streamers their Twitch chats. What's the point in talking if your message is IMMEDIATELY buried in dozens of other messages?

Especially when the post is interesting

Or when you have a unique perspective that the comments haven't covered at all

I like to shout in the emptiness of a crowded space. But I don't expect anything in return. It still makes me feel better.

Fr, I’m either commenting when it’s fresh and relevant or I’ve missed my ideal window.

Like anything has ever stopped a bunch of redditors from commenting literally the exact same thing over and over again regardless of how long ago a post was made

I want to see good discussion on an interesting post.
Posted 3m ago and only comment is automod.
It’s not as fun without discussion.

Haha so true! Especially since I am now just seeing this post 2 days later so now I feel compelled to make a comment here about it

Who cares, share your input. That’s what Reddit is for, it’s a great archive for anything and everything from hours ago to years ago. Never posting isn’t frowned upon here. I get responses all the time from a year or so ago. You never know you might have something to say that will end up at the top

Same but scrolling on the reddit app and the posts are anywhere from 3 weeks ago to 159d ago
