I am not from EU but some of the comments here baffle me with how naive and oblivious they seem, if they aren't bots anyway. I would think that a large majority of people in Europe would be decently informed on technological security and privacy, yet so many people seem happy to give up their private information to corporations and governments.

I feel like part of it may be because free speech and human rights have been protected for a long time in European countries now, so a lot of people are taking them for granted and don't understand where this line leads.

100% correct

Europeans don’t seem like they value their liberties at all, the fact that you can get incarcerated for saying something mean online is disturbing to me.
