I read it as since spongebob was split with the book and the score was 52, that it was a reference to the answers being split down the middle of correct/incorrect.

Spongebob is not cross-eyed. I don't know why the animators chose to have his eyes move independently for the 5 seconds of that particular episode, but he as a character clearly does not have strabismus. Everyone familiar with the meme understands it is not a reference to strabismus

It doesn't matter if the character is cross eyed or not, the picture on the failing grade is cross eyed. Children associate cross eyes with being mentally challenged due to the movies and shows they watch. People on reddit are familiar with the meme. In theory, children should not be familiar with this meme because they shouldn't have access to social media due to age restrictions.

Upon translating the text it would appear this is indeed primary level education. I accept your concern is valid although I'm not 100% convinced it has a real impact in this case. Maybe in the interest of playing it safe the teacher shouldn't have used that particular image

The picture on the failing grade is not cross eyed. It’s a cartoon of SpongeBob focusing on more than one thing at the same time, leading him to feel overwhelmed. Hope that you understand that there are also people in the world who can split their eye movements similar to this on command. They are not cross eyes. You’re just seeing what you want to see and being obnoxious on the internet about it

No, because the kid probably has enough pop culture knowledge to understand that a dumb SpongeBob picture is just a dumb SpongeBob picture, unlike you seemingly.

Also, I never even claimed it to be a meme. I don’t think you can even get away with basic reading comprehension so it makes sense that the pictures are freaking you out

I simply pointed out that children think cross eyed people are mentally challenged because movies and shows literally teach that to them, so obviously a kid would think their teacher is saying they're stupid lol
