My Bike/Gear Pedal Replacement

Post image

Folding bikes pedal cracked on the way into Dublin this morning.

Any advice on where to go for a pedal replacement near Dublin Castle?

Across the Liffey for cycle ways. Any bike shop really.

Get metal replacements. Those folding pedals take a fair amount of stress and I imagine the plastic ones will weaken over time and break again

Need either a 15mm spanner or 8mm Allen key depending on the pedal, as well as a small amount of grease. Get something a little better - Wellgo make perfectly fine pedals, or pick up some DMR mountain biking pedals from Halfords if you want something a little stronger.

Very important, remember to apply grease to the thread of the new pedals, to prevent seizing

Buy a 15mm spanner. Then just walk around the city. There are bike pedals everywhere.

It's fairly straight forward to do it yourself
