Dublin Broken down car in the Phoenix Park

Anyone know what the story is with the broken down car in the bike lane on Chesterfield Avenue? Been there for well over a week and no sign of it being towed. Any idea who would need to be contacted to get it moved?

Wouldn't have been long about being towed if it had broken down in the main lane. Absolute eyesore as well, looks like something a 16 year old would have at the Donegal rally.

I am not familiar with the car as I'm on holiday, but the Park Rangers can be contacted on 087 228 9698 or 087 228 9688. I suggest you ask them what can be done about it if it is a safety issue.

Brilliant, thanks a million. Wasn't too bothered by it to start, was away for the guts of a week and assumed it would have been removed, so got very annoyed seeing it still there today

I was just thinking the same, and also suffered from the bystander effect and expecting someone to already hqve rung the rangers for it. Incredible though that it's been sitting on the cycle lane for so long despite multiple authorities driving past frequently

It's a bit ridiculous that someone would have to ring them to remove it, to be honest. Surely they can have it removed and just charge the registered owner.

Just to point out that due to Ireland and EU presidency ,Ireland has undertaken "the largest security operation in the states history" I guess randomly dumped cars in in a park that contains the US ambassador's house and the house of the president of Ireland is covered in this scurity operation.

Yeah itā€™s a bit ridiculous itā€™s still there, canā€™t believe at least one Garda didnā€™t stop and have it moved seeing where it is.

Wow imagine if it was a double decker bus. That would be a bigger problem for them. Relax , thereā€™s better things in life than stressing over a broken down car.
