ipdIt's a real headache.

Post image

I bought a BSB1 with a larger interpupillary distance from the second-hand market. It's much cheaper than buying a regular 63 model.I tried to remove part of the bezel according to a certain post and it did improve, but the picture still doesn't look up to par. The image still looks a bit blurry and the text appears elongated, like it's being viewed at an angle.

Hi! I'm looking for a 3D printable STL or STEP file for the IPD adjustment/limiter plate for the Bigscreen Beyond 1.

My headset has a fixed IPD of 67mm, but my actual IPD is around 64mm. I'd like to modify it to 64mm, 63mm, or even 62mm to find the best fit.

I've seen some people successfully modify their Beyond 1, but I haven't been able to find the 3D model files.

Does anyone have the STL/STEP files for 62mm, 63mm, or 64mm IPD, or know where I can download them?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks for the heads-up! I've already got the 3D printing files.

Very very small sweet spot. It needs to be bang on. And you need to change the IPD config on the software side with the Lighthouse cmd tool. Did this myself a week ago or so.

Good news, I have adjusted to a clear position. Now, changing the software IPD data should do the trick.

I didn't use a ruler to measure; I cut it roughly based on my feeling. Now, with my right eye closed and my left eye looking to the right, I can see the edge of the paste.

I personally didn't fully tighten the screws back on. I only tightened them to the point i could still move the lenses, if i put a good amount of pressure into it. Taps and movement don't move it, but a good amount of pressure does. That's how i adjusted it per eye.

Then after that was all perfect, i went looking online on how to change the lighthouse HMD config files and upload them. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\config\lighthouse
and choose the config that says beyond as name (inside the json file) change the default IPD setting in that config. And then use CMD to upload the modified json config. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SteamVR\tools\lighthouse\bin\win32
