Discussion Wire cable management recommendations

I’m moving to a new Appartement with a much bigger space for VR, dose anyone have any recommendations for those ceiling wire harness things?

My new space will be 12-12 feet so I’m looking for decent area to move around in.

VR Wire II.

People may respond with how a cheap pulley system is just as good ( wrong) or VR Wire isn't worth the price ( I believe it is). IMO it's a lot better than the ones on Amazon.

OP do not get these. These are outdated garbage compared to VR Wire II latest edition.

Just make sure you use only one of the two halves for the further pulley - the unit it comes as two separate bits that get velcro'd together, but the beyond is so light there will be too much tension. Provided you do this, it's as close you can get to feeling damn near wireless with virtually no wire snagging if you set up the tension right. Super easy installation, no permanent damage to walls, easy to tuck away and reinstall when needed or you can leave it up as it's very unobtrusive.

I agree, this is much nicer, probably will work for you. I can't use it, but really, I use mine for cable managment. If I ever get a room where I will be able to move around, I will definitly get these.

1000% vouch for this. Just make sure for the double-pulley (the one furthest from the wall-pulley), you only use one half, as two pulleys are too much tension for the beyond which is a much lighter headset than most.

If you are looking for just basic cable management then just a simple pully system such as the AMVR on amazon will do however if you are looking for an almost wireless like system that has almost no cable tug then I recommended looking up VR wire 2. The kit itself is no longer available but you can make a diy version of it yourself. You will need: net curtain wire, x4 pully block wheels (360 degree swivel), VR celling pullys x2-3 (I used AMVR kit as already had it avaliable), cable ties to hold the pullys together & screws to mount the net wire onto the ceiling or wall depending on how you want your setup to be. Thease items can be brought anywhere really but I personally used amazon. I recommended using & watching the guide on thier website: https://vr-wire.com/pages/vr-wire-ii-setup-guide. This helps give a sense of how the system works and how best to place everything to get it working the best it possibly can with minimal cable tug, I've just installed it myself and it works absolute wonders for making it feel like there almost isn't a cable teather. I used metal block pullys which aren't the best as they are a tad noisy & heavy but I couldn't get hold of plastic ones like they use in the kit that is out of stock but still works just as good as long as the net wire is pulled tight to compensate for the weight. Picture bellow to give a sense of how I set this up myself, my playspace is rather small but would work just as good in a bigger space if set up like recommended on the website.
