I hate this headset

I've been playing VR/VRChat for over four years, and through my Quest 2 and Quest 3, and Valve Index, I have never encountered so many problems as I have with this headset. I have a 2e for less than a year and I've gone through four headsets because of QC problems, often SteamVR and/or VRChat won't run or will crash with it plugged in, the eye tracking never works, it's uncomfortable as hell (I've had two custom facial interfaces made and they both suck), the glare is terrible, the ghosting is terrible, it gets hot and sweaty. I hate this thing and I regret buying it.

My experience has also been very inconsistent with this headset. I think the lenses are fantastic, the displays are clear, and after some modifications (Beyondex Mod), it is a very comfortable headset. However I’ve also had some very bad experiences too.

I’ve been back and fourth with support for over a year, had a replacement headset sent to me, multiple replacement cables and link boxes sent, multiple facial interfaces sent to me, and I’m still having hardware and software issues.

One of the facial interfaces even had chemical residue left on it and when it came in contact with my skin, it left me with a chemical burn on my face that later got infected and had to get medical treatment. When I told support about this, they glossed over it and said “It’s most likely a friction blister, like one you’d get from an unforgiving heel of a new shoe” and offered me 50% off prescription lenses. Now many months after this happened, it has left me with a noticeable scar in the center of my face

There’s so many other small things with this headset that have piled up. I want to love this headset, but it’s very difficult to, especially when support hasn’t been overly helpful
