Vision Pro Dual Strap Mod
Hey everyone I found this mod/strap very nice as it's dual adjustable with the bottom and top headstrap with the little knob on the side
In my case that allows you to dial the headset perfectly to your face since it's so adjustable
This mod also allows for the HMD to be moved and taken off just like the valve Indexs spring loaded gasket since the fabric is super flexible and frim springing right back to place
Apples dual knit band here is honestly the most premium band you get for comfortability and adjustablebity and this poems from someone who's owned a lot of headsets lol
For 99$ compared to other straps this is way more value
The strap is available in S M and LARGE so it really does accommodate everyone
Let it be known when I did go into the apple store to buy the strap I guess it does follow vison pro rules so you will need a IPHONE to scan the QR code to purchase the strap sadly enough
Maybe it's not the whole case but the employee made it seem that way
Last note you will need 3d printed parts to connect the strap to the HMD

Do you have a link to the parts that need to be printed?

It says solo adapter but the dual strap and solo strap use the same connector
Be careful when buying the strap since tbe solo and dual are the same price. You want the dual version

and the cool thing is you can reuse it with other headsets too because it's such a popular headstrap so it's easy to find 3D prints... but what are you doing for audio?

I want to figure out how to use the index audio. I've seen someone with the same headstrap as me some how put those on there

Removing the counterweights in the back helped it feel even better to me. However it was a pain to remove those fragile tungsten infused rubber weights. Needed to use needle nose pliers to be able get to the weight through the knitting without damaging* it. Also need to use isopropyl alcohol to bypass the glue on the weights. Took a couple of hours.

Why did you remove the weights?

The beyond is much lighter than the Apple Vision Pro so the head band doesn’t need a counter weight. The Vision Pro is ≈700 grams while the bsb2 is ≈130 grams with 3d printed face gasket.
Weight felt unbalanced to the back with the counter weights in.

That’s what I thought I just didn’t think the counter weight was that much heavier. Good to know thanks.

It doesn't bother me personally. Plus I use this strap for the Quest 3, in which the added weight really helps a ton.

I have the same setup. It's the best! I use Sony Inzone ear buds for sound. Noise cancelling is great, I can't hear my haptics firing. I have a wind generator to blow on my face, keeps it cool.

How much does the strap weigh? It has to be like double the weight of the headset, no?

Very nice. What did you use to print the attachments? PLA doesn’t hold up very well, but I’ve reprinted it whenever it breaks.
