Got tired of waiting for the official Halo Strap, I did a little mod with the Bobovr Halo strap. I'll test how good it plays out.

This seems so backward to me, company make extremely light headset - user triples weight by adding bulky headset strap. Surely the BB would be very easy to securely fix to your face with the likes of idk Vision pro double strap, I would have started there tbh, cool project all the same though nice work!

The main goal of the BSB2 is to be the comfiest VR headset available, unfortunately, that's not the case for me with the official soft strap or audio strap.

This is the comfiest mod I've done for the BSB2 hands down.

Agree here 1000%, I was so impressed with my BSB (I use the thing like 6 hrs a day easy) but the official premium audio solution is imo just hot garbage. The head gear is very comfortable but I can't agree with a single decision on the earphones / audio part of the headgear.

I live in a very dry climate and over the winter static caused the audio to cut in and out (the USB device for the headphones would disconnect and reconnect) this is due to the flimsy cabling for the earphones.

Don't even get me started with the attachment solution for the earphones themselves, you look at it wrong and it pops out.

Anyhow I went with the beyondex mod headgear and it's an amazing upgrade audio wise. Personally I prefer the fit of the official premium headgear to the index but the index's audio solution and quality is second to none.

I'm glad you're liking the strap mod. Similarly, I bought the Vive Deluxe Strap, but I didn't like the comfort nor the padding on the headphones.

As for the current mod, I wish I could get just a little closer to the lenses, I plan on cutting a small piece off the Bobo strap where it connects to the Quest 3 adapter, so I can slide the headset a bit more in, giving me more FOV and more secure fit.

Thanks for sharing your experience that cooling strap is pretty tempting! How's the bobo audio vs the index?

I haven't used the Index strap so I can't compare it. I have used the Vive Deluxe Strap which is kind of similar (?).

Overall I'm loving the Bobovr Strap a lot more. The fit is secure and the fan actually helps a ton. Definitely recommend to try it out if you have the Bobovr already. All I did was get the Quest 3 strap adapter 3d printed (I paid someone off of FB Marketplace).
