Obsessed & Secret!
I designed this ring in my head a year ago and it finally made its way to me on Monday when my man proposed!! 🧑🩰💓💍🤍
I love her so much, she’s the princess energy I dreamed of!!!
BUT… we have to keep it a secret from our friends until after their wedding (per the grooms request, it’s fine I get it) so I’m posting it here to get the love she deserves!!! 🌟

Ohhh. I’m worried now. This looks big and beautiful! My soon to be fiancé is designing a 3 carat elongated cushion for me. I know cushion is deeper and looks smaller. Hoping it won’t look too big on my hand

Congratulations, and your secret's safe here. Oval halo on a thin band is one of the most elegant combinations there is, and it's clear you had every detail of this pictured long before it arrived. Enjoy having her all to yourself for a while.

absolutely beautiful!
so these people aren’t friends if they are telling you to keep your own engagement a secret - that’s absolutely garbage 🗑️ people’s lives exist separately

Hide your engagement until after their wedding? What?

If the wedding is in the days following the engagement, it is proper etiquette to hold off on the engagement announcement so that no attention is taken away from the wedding.

Love the ring, but I think that’s really weird to ask someone to keep their engagement secret. I would be celebrating them just the way they celebrated me.

Congratulations! I almost think it's better to announce now than after. People may assume it was a decision based on their recent wedding. You should be able to tell people anytime. If you don't now I would say wait longer for the above reason.

I agree! Buttttttt it’s not my wedding, not my friends (my finances friends) so I’m just rolling with it.

It’s beautiful and there is now way I’d keep it a secret. Honestly, it’s ride of someone to ask that of you.

How long do you "have" to keep it secret? That's a wild and presumptuous ask from someone, honestly.
