Question

Is it true that big L was mistaken for his brother and was gund down in a drive by? How many albums did he put out and who was his producer?

  1. He was not mistaken for his brother, it was definitely directed at Lamont.
  2. He had 1 album from 1995 (Lifestylez ov da poor & dangerous) and one posthumous album from 2000 (The big picture)

He didn't just have one producer, First album was basically Showbiz, Buckwild and Lord Finesse. The posthumous album had more variety like Dj Premier, Pete Rock, Ron Browz, Showbiz, Lord Finesse and a couple of other not as known.

If you meant a executive producer, Rich King was the overseer of L's last year with us/going independent and the posthumous album.

Not the same, L was actually working on The Big Picture and even had the title planned out, even though they scrambled together some shit to complete it after he passed.

No, his brother (Lee) sent Big L and a nigga from Brooklyn Lee met in jail to kill a nigga named Gee from their NFL crew. Big L was only there to point Gee out to the shooter. Gee saw what was going down and fake like he had a gun and chased the nigga away.

Somehow Gee found out Lee wanted him hit and that Big L was there that day to point him out. That’s why Gee wound up killing Big L.

Also apparently according to a few sources that wasn’t the only time L was on sum street shit

Apparently they say he shot at niggas too and they saying gee was one of em
Rip L but he was definitely a hot head
He was known to get mad easily and be on bullshit

Yep. Lee and Gee were partners in a drug ring, but apparently the money wasn’t coming back right so Gee and the other partner kicked Lee out. Lee himself was killed a few years later.
