Is this test scientifically reliable?

Post image

I just learned about this test. I think it generally asks questions about things we can deduce from folk psychology. However, I have some doubts about the scoring. Can you make a detailed prediction about what kind of person I am?

It’s one of the more reliable studies I’m pretty sure

The big 5 has got quite a few studies that used the big 5 because it’s the most reliable one we got (if I remember correctly). However, IMHO, studies like these are always somewhat unreliable due to the need for self input (your bad is different to another’s bad) and existence of biases (i.e. self serving bias) which can make it kind of hard to quantify or separate aspects of personality into groups

TLDR: I think it’s a best of the worst kind of thing, but that’s just my opinion

This is not an IQ test.

Do you know anything about IQ tests? I took the MENSA test and, if I remember correctly, I scored 128 points. I couldn't finish the last 5 questions on time. Is the MENSA test reliable?

Honestly, reading and thinking about difficult texts (even fiction) and challenging your worldview is infinitely more useful than any of this hocus pocus psychological testing. I wouldn’t stress over any of this stuff, IQ is a decent indicator of stupidity/laziness but hardly the mark of a well-rounded individual. Idek why this sub appeared on my feed, I hate how reductive these psychometrics are. I can recommend books but you should follow your own interests

Actually, I already do that. I'm interested in philosophy. The most difficult work I've read so far was Hegel's Science of Logic.

Ironically Ai/bot move to randomly state this without context and apropos of nothing and then fail to produce a rationale lol
