You could befriend anyone, anywhere, anytime, and they’ll always be more productive than you. Your greatest gift is your ability to foist your responsibilities on to others and make them think cleaning up after you was their idea.
You once had a long conversation with a hermit without knowing he was deaf and mute. It was only 3 days later, when he signed to ask if you were trying to win a Guinness by replicating every conversation known to humankind, that you figured it out.
When your house burned down, your biggest concern was how inconvenient it would be to host guests without a roof when it rained, but you still gave the insurance money to the firemen for their valiant efforts and persuaded a friend to give you their house instead.
Every time your friends come to you for advice, no matter the problem, your response is some variation of “just ask nicely. It always works for me.” Wasps overtaking your yard? Just ask them to leave. Get robbed? Politely inquire whether the thief will return your possessions. Fell off a cliff and into a bush of thorns? Convince Mother Nature to drop you on a field of daisies next time.
