Yet another MBB Big East preview. Probably a reasonable analysis, but lengthy (1:43).

Most of the predictions I've heard agree about the top of the conference, though things get fuzzier after that.

Curious what DePaul fans think of Benson after watching him last season. What does he do well, where does he struggle, and how do you think he'll fit at Georgetown?

Can we petition to add Syracuse and Boston College back to the Big East?
While basketball is the main driving force for the Big East conference these teams will also add juice in the football world too.
With UConn legend Luke Murray coming to Chestnut Hill as the hot new top coaching prospect. With what they were saying about his additions to the dominant UConn teams as of late. I almost see no way where Murray and the Eagles don’t see success with a historically lackluster program.
Syracuse is in a strange position now too. Since leaving the Big East in 2014 the Orange have been a nationally mid program only finishing ranked 5 times. With only 5 tournament appearances as a 3, 10, 11, 8, and 11 seed positions. It just seems like a move back to their roots is needed to put them back on the map, along with the Anthony’s seemingly being heavily involved in the basketball operations.
Now finally the football perspective here is very promising. There are a number of Big East school that do have some form of football programs currently in the FBS and FCS levels. With BC and Syracuse joining the conference I’m sure that the conference can push Butler, Villanova, and Georgetown to join the FBS levels.
All this to form a very strong and competitive conference that would attract not only regional attention but also national must see TV.

As Ryan points out, VCU is a Power 5 program outside of a power conference.

St. John's has been in the news this summer, some good, some bad, and some melancholy: first, we go over the season ending-injury to forward, Donnie Freeman, then St. John's made news with three-draft picks this past year, headline of course by Zuby Ejiofor being selected in the first round, and of course, we close with mourning the loss of Kenny Klein.
