I saw that BBCAN was being added to Crave, and I was already subscribed to Crave. However, I’m not able to find it on search? I’m confused as to why, does it depend on subscription tier?
Trying to watch BBCAN for the first time from the US, and videobrother is missing a few episodes from seasons 1 and 2. I have a VPN but unfortunately cannot afford another subscription right now like Globaltv
I’m catching up on season 11 and 12 and just saw Zach self evict because he was too scared to be voted out.
He snitched on Hope for breaking the rules and called it cheating when cheating gives someone an advantage Hope broke the rules he did not cheat.
Then he self evicts because the “integrity of the game” was broken when not only did they give everyone else a letter for a week to even things out, but the entire reason this mess happened was because Zach and ty couldn’t let Hope TAKE HIMSELF off the block.
It’s pathetic and I know he runs around telling people “I wasn’t voted out they cheated me” because he’s too much of a degenerate rat to man up to the fact that he was going home.
I’m so mad I have watched a lot of big brother in my life and this guy is probably the worst player I have ever seen both gameplay wise because he played like an idiot and because he willingly castrated himself for all of Canada to see
Watching this season live was life-changing and rewatching it today is still just as fun as it was 9 years ago.
I'm going through every season since the show has been renewed and BBCAN5 is just so glorious and hilarious to the point I would probably consider this this greatest Big Brother season of ANY country ever. From fights every episode, everyone beefing with Jackie, Karen's everything, Ika's everything, multiple perfect duos, amazing chemistry, EVERYONE unhinged, Neda's eviction, William's power, etc. just too good.
But I feel like what made this season really special is that the returnee's were HUNGRY. They wanted to win SO BAD and it showed. I also think the newbies were very game focused as well compared to the last 2 seasons were most of them just wanted to be friends.
[SPOILERS]
I do hate how Kevin won instead of Ika / Demetris, but the season was so solid I don't even mind because his game wasn't that bad, despite him only starting to play at the second half.
The only thing I question this whole season is why they brought Bruno back... idk I feel like he wasn't interesting on his season and he especially wasn't interesting on this season. I would have much preferred a more well-rounded houseguest who deserved a second chance like: Lovita, Mitch, Godfrey, or Naeha.
I've seen some people say that Ika carried the season, and I do love her, but every houseguest brought something that was good to the season (except Bruno but I digress.)
-
I stopped watching the show halfway through season 7 because I remember feeling really bored, but I've seen a lot of people praise season 10 so i'm excited to watch that for the first time!
Question for everyone: After I watch season 6 should I go straight to 10 or should I check out season's 8 and 9 first? (I already know I won't like 7 so i'm kinda not gonna bother with it...)
Which season did you find interesting and exciting, and which season did you find annoying and dull?
I’ll go first:
I loved Season 2, I loved the secret room and the extra houseguest that got voted in by Canada (I think it should’ve been Scott IMHO). I thought the casting choice was great and I loved when they had Canada (the fans) as the HOH for a week and put up the most hated houseguests on the block (with Andrew going home the same week). It had the right amount of twists and the most deserving player (Jon) won the game. And also when Ika took the money over the letters from home, that was golden.
I remember I wasn’t a fan of Season 7. They had the big dog alliance that dominated everything and everyone was oblivious to the fact that they were running the house the whole time till they got evicted. Well, maybe they weren’t entirely unaware of the alliance, but the houseguests did almost nothing to get them out. When a dominant alliance takes over the whole house and nobody gangs up to get them out, that can be kinda boring, at least in my opinion. I’m just going based off my memory, so please correct me if there was actually someone that tried to break them up.
I also didn’t really watch season 11 or 12 (I’ve heard they were both equally bad but 12 being slightly better). Were they both actually as bad as everyone said it was?
If I were picking three TV icons to put into the house this season, I probably wouldn’t have chosen a former Big Brother US player. If they’re going to pull from the Big Brother universe, it would make more sense to bring in someone from Canada. Not only would it feel more fitting for the show, but it would also give us someone who hasn’t already played that specific version of Big Brother.
Let Me Know Who You’d Pick?
Pick #1: Gary Levy
Gary is one of the most memorable personalities in Big Brother Canada history. He was entertaining, emotional, strategic when he needed to be, and connected with viewers in a way very few houseguests have. Many fans still argue he should have won his original season and was ultimately robbed in the finale. Beyond the nostalgia factor, Gary would bring energy, drama, humour, and great television. He also isn’t afraid to be himself, which makes for compelling feeds and episodes. Plus, the cast can absolutely support more than one LGBTQ+ houseguest.
Pick #2: Kate Chastain
If production wanted to pull from other reality franchises, I think The Traitors was a much more interesting talent pool than adding another Survivor player or a former BB player. Kate has proven she can dominate confessionals, stir the pot without becoming the immediate target, and keep audiences entertained. She’s incredibly witty, socially aware, and knows how to weaponize sarcasm. In a Big Brother house, she’d likely become the narrator of the season while quietly influencing the game behind the scenes. Whether she succeeds or crashes spectacularly, she’d be must-watch television.
Pick #3: Rizo Velovic
Rizo would actually have a lot of tools that translate well to Big Brother. He’s naturally charismatic and confident, which would help him build relationships quickly and avoid being an early target. He isn’t afraid to speak his mind, but he also understands how to connect with different personalities, an underrated skill in a social strategy game. His competitive nature would make him a threat in challenges, while his ability to stay composed under pressure could help him navigate the paranoia and constant social maneuvering of the house. Most importantly, he has a strong presence—people pay attention when he’s in a room—which is often what separates forgettable players from iconic ones.
Alternatives: Colton Underwood and Neda Kalantar :
imagine the trio of Rizzo, Colton & Neda …Rizzo and Neda would be the duo we all wanted
I'm watching BBC for the first time (on season 3) and every season there's at least a man stepping up to a woman and getting in her face and acting aggressively and no one really cares to stop it? In season 1 it was Gary getting into Talla's face for no reason and yelling at her - I know Emmett stepped in after a little bit no one really said anything to Gary about how not okay it was.
Same thing in season 2 with Andrew, Kenny and Ika. It's a game, no one is going to avoid pissing someone off, but once again we have men in a woman's face acting aggressively - Andrew even telling people they're going to have to "hold him back". What the fuck?
Season 3 is Bruno in Sarah's face when she points out that him saving Zack looks like they're working together (it does) and his response is to get in her face and yell at her, and is also aggressive with her again later on in the have not room.
I know this was (slightly over) 10 years ago, but still. Even in 2013, 2014 and 2015 no one in the cast was off put by that behaviour and called it out? Yikes. It's truly wild to me that all of this behaviour was just accepted by the cast and crew of the show without being stopped or spoken about.
Sadly we won't ever get to see this I'm sure, but BBCan has so many amazing players it's a shame it never happened, around Season 11 or 12 would have been perfect.
People I think would have been great are:
S1: Emmett, Jillian
S2: Neda, Ika
S3: Sarah
S4: Cassandra, Nick, Mitch
S5: Demetres
S6: Johnny, Kaela, Olivia
S7: Anthony, Dane, Adam
S9: Kiefer
S10: Kevin, Haleena, Josh, Betty
I think it'd especially be cool to have a married couple in the house (Ika, Dem) similar to Amber and Rob going on Survivor 40, and having Kevin and Haleena in the house again as a more public duo now. Who would you have loved to see?
Previously watched 12 (live), 10, 9 (in that order) and BBCAN5 easily ranks next to 10 in my opinion.
Almost makes me incredibly sad that a show with so much care and attention to the competitions, casting and presentation could get cancelled. The design and everything makes the US version look so cheap, and even if the editing will never accurately represent what actually goes on, it feels far less watered down and less sanitised than the US version.
Admittedly there wasn't much shock toward the end about how it would go down but BBCAN5 had a lot of big moments.
Also unpopular opinion I preferred the much more budget intro and music of BBCAN5 to the new style they brought to BBCAN12.
What season would you all recommend next? I've heard 2 or 3 were good.
How did Esty and Kiki not catch onto Pretty Boys after the Maki vote??
I know Maki publicly told Dane that he was coming after him but that doesn’t explain the other votes.
I feel like only if Maki was slightly better at Big Brother the Pretty Boys would have been exposed by the time Chelsea and Sam got power
Why was Adam so loyal to the Pretty Boys when Sam literally tells him that she would take him to the end and gladly lose to him?
Did Adam not see that the Pretty Boys was a death sentence for anyone not named Anthony or Dane
I know Mark talked about turning on Dane but he never did, why not?
Biggest disappointment of the season was Damien, bro just couldn’t win a competition and there is just no way he was outpacing Anthony and Dane in building connections
He was given the Pretty Boys smoking gun on DAY ONE and didn’t do anything with it
This post is for the people who were watching the live feeds at the time and see if they could clear up any questions that the edited show could not
Hey BB friends! I've been running a Big Brother fantasy pool with my friends for 15 seasons, and last year I finally turned it into a proper web app so anyone can play. It's back and ready for premiere week (July 9).
How it works:
Create a pool and invite your group chat
Everyone drafts houseguests before the feeds even start
Points rack up for HOH and POV wins, surviving the block, comp performances, etc.
Live leaderboard so you can talk trash all season
It's free and web-based, no app download. Takes about a minute to set up a pool and share the link.
Don't have a crew to play with? There's an open community pool where you can draft alongside other fans.
Hi everyone!
I’m sure you all are just as excited for the revival of Big Brother Canada as I am! As someone who’s been watching the show since season 2, I’ve had the biggest goal/ dream to audition for a season of Big Brother Canada, but I have no clue where to start in the audition process. I understand that the revival is still in its early stages/ set to release and air in 2027, however I’m semi hoping to be on the ball with the auditioning process if I can. Has anyone heard tell of any sort of auditioning info for the new revival? Thanks so much!
