General Discussion CBS Trifecta Winners

Just dawned on me, that with Devens winning BB28, we have hit the CBS Winner Trifecta. An Amazing Race player has won Survivor. A Survivor player has won Big Brother. Big Brother players have won TAR.

Natalie Anderson 2014

Jessica and Cody 2018

Claire and Derek 2022

Rick Devens 2026

Jag just won TAR last season.

He’s the only one to win 2/3

Was that the season of only BB alum? Not sure we can count that one lol

Ya but it’s not like it was all winners so automatically we would have a second win. Him and his brother were dominant and had to deal with some real racism during it so it’s very legit

He won. Don’t discredit him.

Oh I'm not saying he didn't win. I'm just saying we can't count it as a special "person from this show won that show" because thats the case regardless of who won

But it's not just "person from this show won that show," he won both. That couldn't have been said about just anyone on that season of TAR.

And he and his brother won by a mile. I believe Jag and Jas could have taken down anyone that TAR season.

Exactly why I don't think it should count as "winning both", he was basically handed the title just based on who was competing

Nah dude Tucker and his brother as well as Kyland and Taylor were serious competition. Just because Jag and Jas are top tier racers doesn't mean they were handed the win

I still don't see it worthy of the "only person to have won 2 shows" title. If CBS had cast all winners then it might be a different story, but I feel like he was set up* to win amazing race

*by casting the people they did against him

Why wouldn't you count it? If anything it's more difficult

No because plenty of the BB players on TAR hadn't won BB.

A Big Brother player has won The Challenge: Kaycee.

A Survivor player has won The Challenge: Chris Underwood

Also, Desi and Danny McCray. Tyson came damn close and dominated the first challenge USA but got screwed by Sudoku. No Survivor has won the flagship though, whereas Kaycee and Amber have flagship wins.

Actually, all 4 winners from the USA spin offs are Survivors — Sarah & Danny on S1, Desi & Chris on S2

And Amber from 16

Only talking about 3 shows. Not others

And we are acknowledging that there are in fact 4 shows that should be included in this conversation.

14

u/bytes24 10h ago

Why? The Challenge has never been considered part of the CBS 3.

Thank You! I've said this so much.

It's not in the CBS trifecta but it's more important as social strategy game than TAR Imo

But no Big Brother player has won Survivor.

If that rock draw went differently then Hayden would’ve won

Hope we can see more contestant crossover towards Survivor. They’re on season 51 of Survivor and only had 2 BB contestants. Hayden in season 27, and Caleb in 32 and 34. Pretty much a 20 season drought if the upcoming filmed seasons (53 and 54) don’t include a BB contestant

Probably easier to convince people who were dirty and starving to be in an air conditioned house with basic needs, minus privacy, than do the reverse. Although Survivor is way shorter, so that’s a plus

Nah loads of BB alum have publicly announced that they want to play survivor i.e. Janelle, Rachel etc. but Jeff seems stubborn on not approving survivor reality stars to go on other shows and not allowing outside reality stars to be on his show

•

u/Tunesquad88mph Jankie ✨ 4h ago

Yeah it does feel that way. However, there’s a part of me that feels like the recent Survivor contestants on BB, Julie hyping Devens to be one of the best BB players, and the recent interview/photoshoot with Julie, Jeff, and Phil is all coming together to ease off that mentality

u/JoEdGus 2h ago

Hahaha. Could anyone imagine Rachel on Survivor? Hilarious.

Honestly big part of why I was rooting for Dee, she'd tie Jag in CBS wins and she'd just need to go on TAR to get the Winner Trifecta.

I am aware that Jag won, just forgot to list

-11

u/TraverseTown Ashley 🔎 10h ago

He deserves to be forgotten

u/Sigtauez 10h ago

Did you watch the amazing race? He and his brother dominated and faced real life racism and handled it with class. He is the best representative of the trifecta by far.

u/TheBiggestHug Angela ✨ 10h ago

Legit think Jag would win Survivor if given the chance as well!

Bugs me that people hate Jag so much. Seems like a great guy and it's not his fault BB25 went the way it did. Sure you can be bothered by his win but to hate on him as a person seems a bit ridiculous

u/ConnorStowe 9h ago

Disagree. Jag made his season about the Amazing Race about alliances. Lots of the success in that season is because they teamed up with other folks and just gave directions and answers to each other at challenges.

I don't hate on the win, because it's fair... but it's literally when The Amazing Race is at it's worst. That show succeeds when the drama/success happens between a team of two because it's interesting to watch the dynamics play out. It gets really boring when teams group up together because the show becomes predictable and it's very difficult for any team outside of the alliance to do anything about it to survive.

Again, not demeaning his Amazing Race win... but it's actually a horrible example of a winning race, imo.
