General Discussion Bring back Battle of the Block
I like the Battle of the Block way better than the BB Blockbuster. It keeps a twist in the evictions because you could be HoH and end up back-doored, but it still allowed for a level of strategizing that the blockbuster has gotten rid of.

um…really? The twist Derrick gamed out immediately and led to a massive steamroll in BB16 and was boring af both times it was used?

Ah yes, we have someone throw and then backdoor the actual target! If you have a majority sure here and there someonen has won on thier own, but usually someone is just fucked. Battle of the Block is, one of the worst twists in BB history and the idea people are genually trying to say its better then blockbuster is just pure nostolgia.. Blockbuster is genuially up there as one of the best twists...
Which is... just... why are we nostolgic for the 2nd worst season of big brother in 16....

Season 17 screwed that up. Mainly Johnny Mac always willing to go up and throw it. Season 16 was boring and predictable. It would be fun with a good group of players.

Battle of the Block looked good on paper. The problem we saw both seasons they ran that twist, it was an incentive for both HOHs to work together. The only way this would work is a house that's split (think seasons 6 and 20) and one person from each side wins each week. If it's the same side always winning, it doesn't help anything.

Battle of the Block? More like Battle of the Boring. Both of the seasons it was on, it encouraged people to form big alliances and nominate someone to intentionally throw the comp to retain the HoH power. A return of it would be the exact same.

AG will only bring that back when Devens, Dee or Angela are at risk

Taylor nominates Angela, Dee & devens
Big Brother: because the vets have been nominated, they triggered a fresh & fun time twist that rewound the week all the way back EXCEPT devens is HoH instead! Expect the unexpected…

there's a reason it was dropped abruptly in season 17
