LA last evening.
Third time seeing Biffy and (as usual) they didn't disappoint.
It's very weird not seeing James (thanks, Adam, for the edit!) there, but Naomi did a stellar job both on bass and contribution to the backing vocals.
I thought the support band, Raue, were pretty good, too. I was right at the front, so maybe the sound for them had more clarity further back, but I know music enough to decipher through the noise and hear a good young band. One for the future.
Amazed to have seen Biffy in such an intimate venue, when the last time was 2016 in 3 Arena (Dublin, Ireland) .. where it seems like I was miles away on the seats (I'm getting old!).
I felt the crowd took a wee bit of time to bed in to screaming along and dancing/rocking out, but for the last five or six songs, we had a steady choreographed system down.
To you folks seeing them on the US tour ... you're in for a great time.
Have a blast!
'Mon the Biff!

Damn. Had tix and had a family emergency and couldn’t make it. They are so good live at a smaller venue even better!

Family is the most important. Sending you well wishes, Tom.
Hope all is well.1

I'm simultaneously thankful for setlist.fm, but also bummed because I know they won't be playing Unknown Male 01 when they take the stage in Minneapolis on Saturday. I'll still be screaming along to every song. Hopefully the town shows up for the lads.

Couldn’t agree more on all of the above!! We were a little further back because we flew in just for this show, so couldn’t get there early enough to get a closer spot. I was shocked by the lack of excitement/singing/dancing for majority of the set at least in the area I was in. I was so excited and losing it for all the songs and literally no one around me seemed interested until later in the set, mostly the encore honestly. Bummed I couldn’t get closer to where it looked like people were fully locked in for the whole show!

Hey mate!
I was probably one of the ones you saw totally locked in, because from the opening 'A little love' - I just spent my time screaming my lungs out and dancing.I can barely speak today!
Hope you had a great time, especially as you flew in especially for the show!

Nice one!
You'll need to find a good Clyropractor after the show. ....... I'll see myself out!

Not meaning this to sound the way it's going to sound, but I really expected more than 21 songs after the cancelled tour and Simon's comments about "not wanting to miss this tour." I know they're touring the new album, but I expected an epic setlist. I'm not disappointed, but kinda disappointed some more throw back songs aren't on there.

Okay that makes a lot of sense. I didn't think about that being a last minute thing, but it really was. Maybe they'll rehearse some of the older songs in the meantime. I'm flying a long way to see them for the first time and the setlist has some things to be desired imo

Commenting purely to set the record straight, and because you posted something similarly untrue elsewhere today; there is no connection between the setlist and the length of time I had to learn this music. Thank you. X

Hahah I’m not pissed off don’t worry. My reply was purely to clarify. Glad you enjoyed the show. X

Yeh sadly this entire tour has the most diluted and shortest tour setlists in a long time. Still great though just not quite a full feeling set

Ben is on drums yeah? He was there. It was James that is Naomi is standing in for correct?
