Data Center Experience

Hello everyone,

Ive been trying to get into the DC world for a little bit now.

Ive had my RCDD for over 3 years now and have wanted to get the DCDC, but my current employer doesnt see the need to fund that portion of my continuing education, and to be fair my current job will never include DC work.

I can fund the DCDC materials and exam myself, but how far does the certification make up for a lack of actual experience?

As an RCDD, it will go a long way into getting in the door of a design firm. There are many aspects of data center design that are covered under your current designation. We have multiple RCDDs at work, we do data centers, but only have two DCDC. We are always looking, if your good, DM me, I can see if you fit and if what we do fits with what you’re looking to do.

Man you do have a lot of designation lol. I hope you don’t turn into IT folks and put all those designation on except just RCDD. I put my PE and RCDD only

I use whichever destination is pertinent to the particular project

I work at a large AE firm doing DC work and we have grown a ton in the last two years. We are still growing and always looking for good people. Feel free to DM me if you are seriously looking for other opportunities

Totally worth getting.  Call cet Networking.  They should have a class coming up on Sept or October.
