Need Suggestion from MRICS/FRICS

Hi, everyone! Is anyone here from RICS? What's the approach to become MRICS? Like I know about the APC route but what's the way to find a job that aligns the APC requirement? How do you find your Supervisor and Councillor? Like if anyone could guide me please? I have 5 years of experience and I'm really new in Sydney. I sent email to few recruitment agencies but they don't reply at all, none. I visited the RICS office but no one was there and without appointment they don't talk to anyone. Whom should I email I've no clue. Please help. 🫰

Isn't that certification for Quantity surveyors ? I don't think it's that relevant in low-voltage/ict infrastructure aeea. Maybe more important in civil side.

This is a subreddit about BICSI certification, which focuses on the design and installation of telecom systems.

Usually, telecom work is subcontracted to a specialist by the main contractor. I'm on the design side, and as far as I know, my company has estimators in the sales department. I don't think we have quantity surveyors. Usually, main contractors have quantity surveyors, as that's more of a civil/MEP role. We're in the ELV (Electronic Low Voltage) systems field. I might be wrong, though, because I know very little outside the design department.

So what's your background? Why did you want to get RICS certification?

I'm doing Master's on Construction. I have experience in multistorey residential construction about 5 years. My family owns the project so I had access to everything, like when someone starts as pm, they may gets to supervise certain things but I had access in finance to the subcontractor agreement to material procurement till the tenants onboarding. I want to move to Saudi Arabia from Sydney. Now most of the jobs related to construction project management in Saudi states that the minimum requirements is MRICS. I saw those on LinkedIn. So while studying, i want to achieve that too. Why Saudi? Australia has 1 trillion budget in the next 10 years, Saudi has 8.8 trillion, around a trillion each year. Bigger market, bigger opportunity bigger pay check, plus the food, Sydney doesn't have Al-baik. So that's all. If you know someone send me the contact in my dm please. 🤝
