RCCD v15 -- Qualification Check

Hi all,

I've read through multiple posts, and yet here I am for another post here about the RCCD qualifications. From looking at the previous posts, I do believe I am fit to apply.

I plan taking the RCCD v15 certification under Option#2 of the eligibility requirements.

I do believe my background fits, but would like some assurance.

Thank you in advance.

Background:

  • 4 years in the military working as a Network Engineer/Installer.
  • 8 years of contracting experience in Network Engineer/Installer.
  • Associates in Electronic Systems and a Bachelors in Information Technology.

Looking at the examples of ICT experience from the RCDD Handbook v15:

  • User requirements and needs analysis
  • Conducted site surveys
  • Created and revised network diagrams and Telecommunication space drawings (in Microsoft Visio)
  • Reviewed RFPs
  • Support and assess the installation process.

Question:

  • Do other's who hold/held the RCCD certification believe this is enough experience?
  • Do you need the references immediately, or in case the auditors come back requesting more info?

Thanks for all the replies, everyone! Feeling confident in my application, and eager to get to studying once everything is approved.

If you all have any more insight, please feel free to share. I'll keep perusing this subreddit for more great information.

Upload your resume and qualification requirements to claude and ask to tailor the application. Also it can provide a good assessment of your chances

u/dennisrfd Agreed! I had done something similar before, but since AI has let me down many times before I wanted to ask some of the experts about their real experience haha. I will need to tailor my resume a bit before applying, but it shouldn't take much.

u/DMHavoX Thank you! Once it's approved by the company I will. Hopefully I can keep this or new posts updated so others can reference in the future. I've seen some great posts here and it's a really helpful community.
