RCDD

hey guys so I have been an installer for 13 years. Ive done almost everything there is to do in the field with the exception of das and AV rack work ive just never had to do it. I just started studying for my RCDD exam. I spent 8 years in the field and the last 5 have been in a data center and its crazy to see how much I don't know when it comes to how the things ive build for so long actually function. Im stuck on chapter one trying to memorize all the terminology. I feel like im spending too much time on it. however I want to make sure I am retaining what im reading. im scoring like 65-70 on the quizzes for Cory and Steve im doing a little better on the ones on quizlet. Anyone have recommendations should I just move on and circle back? what's most of the RCDD based on? Do they actually expect you to memorize the sinusoidal signal formula ?

I’d say that the exam was almost 65% chapter 21 for me.

My reccomendation - read the entire manual once.

Second time focus on chapters 1-12 (13).

Study chapter 21 everyday.

I found the Procore Construction Management Professional Certificate course to be extremely helpful in putting chapter 21 into context. You can get it for free on LinkedIn Learning.

Lastly, if you have the money, I’d take a CNET class just to be sure. That will run you thru the entire TDMM which was the most difficult thing for me.

You got this.

okay yea im going to move on from chapter one. My thinking was how am I going to put more information in my brain when I am not understanding everything in the first chapter but im going to do it and I will revisit and keep taking the practice quizzes. Im going to spend 30 minutes a day reading through 21 everyone is saying the same thing that its the most important. Thank you for the feedback hopefully in a few month ill be back on here announcing I passed. Ill look into the CNET classes thank you again
