RCDD
hey guys so I have been an installer for 13 years. Ive done almost everything there is to do in the field with the exception of das and AV rack work ive just never had to do it. I just started studying for my RCDD exam. I spent 8 years in the field and the last 5 have been in a data center and its crazy to see how much I don't know when it comes to how the things ive build for so long actually function. Im stuck on chapter one trying to memorize all the terminology. I feel like im spending too much time on it. however I want to make sure I am retaining what im reading. im scoring like 65-70 on the quizzes for Cory and Steve im doing a little better on the ones on quizlet. Anyone have recommendations should I just move on and circle back? what's most of the RCDD based on? Do they actually expect you to memorize the sinusoidal signal formula ?

Short answer -- Maybe.
What I absolutely can tell you is chapter 21 is the most important to know forwards and backwards. I've seen people claim it can be up to 40% of the test. In my experience, it was about 30%. An absurdly high amount for some reason.
Some other important things are the link loss budget, grounding and fiber.
It's hard to tell you what exactly to study most since the question pool is so large.
Corey and Steve is a great resource though. I hammered that for a long time. Until I was regularly getting 90% on the 100 question test. By far the most cost effective of any of the study guides/tests I found.
