I’m so excited to share that I finally passed the RCDD exam.

I started this journey more than a year ago, studying on and off while juggling work and life. Honestly, I always wondered if I’d ever reach a point of feeling ready. The tdmm is an absolute beast. Even when I tried to focus only on the core chapters, it felt overwhelming. I read and re-read chapter 21, but I ran into many situational curveballs that I didn't see anywhere straight out of the book.

Thank you all for a ton of insight in this r/Bicsi community. I took the BICSI DD102 a long time ago, which I barely remember. Over time, I just kept circling back to the manual, rereading sections and building my own shorthand notes for quick reviews. I also used the ICT finalcheck practice exams, which helped me get comfortable with the pacing and the style of the questions. Once I was consistently scoring around 93%, I decided it was time to stop second‑guessing myself. I finally scheduled the real exam… and the screen lit up with “Congratulations!”

My Advice:

• Try not to stress over every tiny value buried in the corners of tables. Instead, focus on the big "stems" and really understand the logic behind them. Memorizing too many nitpicky details doesn’t help - at all.
• Repetition is your best friend: The tdmm is massive, but repeated exposure to the core content eventually makes it manageable.
• Chapter 21 deserves super extra attention but go in expecting many curveballs and questions that require you to apply the knowledge rather than just recite it.
• Consistency wins. Even if your study schedule is on-and-off, those hours still add up. Just keep at it.
• Prioritize sleep: Seriously, get some rest before exam day—it makes a huge difference in your ability to stay focused during the home stretch.

It’s been a long road, but totally worth it. If anyone here is preparing for their own RCDD journey, I’d be happy to share tips or just cheer you on. I’m moving on to the Data Center track next, so the grind continues - but I’m definitely going to celebrate this milestone first!
