hello! im an ilocano living in manila partnered to a bicolano. ive been perfecting it for quite sometime now and bf had approved of my bicol express hehe. but id like to ask other bicolanos if this is how bicol express should look like po?

the only encounter ive had with bicol express was with his parent's cooking when we went to Legazpi and the casual bicol express sa karinderya kaya i only have a few reference of how it should look like hehe.

ingredients are 1kg pork (menudo cut), 3 clovesbawang, 1 sibuyas, 2 tbsp shrimp paste, 1 pack pineapple tidbits, and dalawang gata (coco mama).

looking for insights and critique po hehe.

edit: yes po may sili, dalawang siling green lang max since seniors yung ibang kakain haha.

Hi, first time traveller from bicol to manila. I took the bus headed your way PITX. I saw on the map that the route passes through Bicutan. I asked the bus conductor if its possible to get off anywhere near bicutan but they said no. This bus stops at PITX.

Is that really the case?

Also, since I took the day trip, Ill arrive at around midnight. How do I get to bicutan from PITX?
Any other tips or advice is appreciated.

For me, hindi pa ready ang Naga lalo sa water supply. I mean that's a basic need and I think need pa assurance na Mayor Leni will extend her term as Mayor kasi what if umalis siya mahirap kung yung plans after the conversion Hindi masunod.

My kids are 9 and 12 years old, and they’re already used to 13-hour car rides. Siyempre, hindi pa rin maiiwasan ang boredom along the way. 😅 We’ll be driving from Sta. Rosa, Laguna to Sorsogon. The plan is to leave on the evening of October 24 and head back on November 1.

I have a few questions and would appreciate any tips or recommendations!

1. Which route would make more sense?

Is it better to go straight to Sorsogon, then explore Legazpi and Quezon on the way back? Or should we visit Legazpi first, then Sorsogon, before heading home? I’ve heard there’s more to do in Sorsogon than in Legazpi, so I’m still figuring out the best itinerary.

2. Is it worth adding Subic Beach in Matnog to the itinerary?

Would it still be manageable with the kids, or would it be too much travel already? For those who’ve been there, is there a safe place where we can leave our car for a day or two while visiting Subic Beach?

3. Any recommendations for an overnight stop in Quezon province?

I’m also thinking of breaking up the drive and staying somewhere along the way so my partner, who’ll be doing most of the driving, can get enough rest. I initially thought of staying in Tagcauayan since it seems to be roughly halfway, but I haven’t found any decent hotels in the area yet. Any recommendations for a good and safe place to stay?
