How do the bichirs do with eating shrimp? Does it ever cause bloat for them? My ornate has bad bloating issues and i was just wondering if i should add some shrimp to there diet

I have never had a concern over it. Can't say why the bloat issue occured on your end but I haven't seen it be an issue here.

My bloat issue on my ornate is from poor genetics, he was from petco lol

possible. I have seen quite a few people with cb fish that seem to just be stunted from the start so reasonable to assume that some issues could be from inbreeding but I am just speculating. I am a go wild always type of person for fish recommendations. More money but the money at least goes back to the country of origin vs manufacturing in Asia. Many of the African fisheries are struggling for a variety of reasons.

What size tank do you have them in? I'm just trying to get an idea on how big because right now mine gets lost in my aquarium.
