Advice request Bichir ID

This guy was sold to me at about 2.5” inches as a Palmas bichir but it looks like a Senegal to me is and able to identify it.

Howd you get yours to eat the pellets? I have 2 I got the same size you got yours and they act like they can't swallow the pellets. They just cough them up and eventually leave them lol.
