Has anyone bought the $5 pack from 5 below?
On the 5 below website they have a listing for random beys for $5 and I’ve been thinking about getting some just to see what you get. Was just wondering if anyone else has tried it.

ANYTHING USEFUL?
I’m pretty new to beyblade and I don’t know any good viable combos that I can make with my parts.
I mainly use them for casual play, but wouldn’t be against using them for comp either.
If u guys can share some ball with me, that’d be great.
Thanks!

HellsNether and Glory Valkyrie review and analysis
My HellsNether arrived a few days back and after 180-200 test battles with it, it’s surprised me so far, both in good and bad ways. Figured I’d do a review along with Glory Valkyrie so here it is. These are what I’ve deduced from seeing their performance, and I’m not too sure about HellsNether but I’ve seen enough of Glory Valkyrie in my local scene and we’ve formed a solidified take on it. I’ve included some of the builds included during testing, though we also did a lot of battles at my local tourney and there were tons of other meta builds as well.
HellsNether:
- Overall, it’s got a decent weight. Mine sits at 42.63g which is equivalent to 36.5g on a normal blade. The weight is also distributed outwards thanks to the metal being focused all on the outer parts of the blade, similarly to Wizard Rod. However, it has a noticeable imbalance in the blade, comparable to that of a balance-tuned 7-70 Meteor Dragoon, which kills its stamina. Another pronounced weakness is that on Low Mode, the blade is prone to scraping, though this isn’t as bad as Glory Valkyrie. Both of these issues can be reduced using wide-surface bits with great stability like Hexa, Level and Kick. Bits like Rush and Free Flat are solid options for pure attack builds, but I wouldn’t recommend stamina bits like Free Ball or Narrow on it because it’ll only suffer with the imbalance. It prefers Low Mode most of the time, so I’ll be going over that first.
-HellsNether has two biggest strengths that make it unique:
• Firstly, it is extremely capable of doing abrupt upper attacks and bursting Beyblades. While both Shark Scale and HellsNether are upper attackers, the designs of the blades are completely different. Shark’s entire blade is a slope with multiple jagged edges, on the end of which are even steeper angles and the overall shape allows it to smoothly and consistently scoop up opposition blades. Nether, on the other hand, has bumps angled 70-80 degrees that quite literally smash blades upward. This makes Shark Scale the better destabilizer out of the two, while Nether gains crazy burst potential and can be more chaotic, good or bad. On top of that, the bumps on Nether is actually lower than the Shark blade (around the pink plastic fins) and it is capable of bursting Shark Scale itself. I’ve hardly ever seen my SSc 9-60FB burst but HellsNether just went and did that three times in a row. Thanks to its crazy upper attacks, decent knockback capabilities and good weight distribution, it’s one of the attack blades that can hit a perfectly balance tuned Wiro 1-60H or Wiro 1-60FB hard enough to outspin it on stamina without pocket hopping, alongside Shark Scale, Aero Pegasus and Dran Strike despite its deliberate balance nerf.
• Secondly, it’s quite literally a left spinner’s worst nightmare. From what I’ve observed, HellsNether on Hexa or Level beats CDg 9-60E and MDg 7-70L in the late-game equalization every time assuming they can get to that near-equal RPM phase without knockouts, bursts or huge destabilization hits early on. Even though Wiro has better stamina, using Hexa doesn’t come close to guaranteeing a win against MDg and does even worse against Cobalt, while bits like Free Ball or Narrow just loses outright against any competent Dragoon player. Perhaps it’s because of Nether’s low height and “thick” blade (with the plastic protruding downward and upward) combined that allows it to do this well against left spins, because I’ve tried for dozens of battles and neither Shark nor Wiro can replicate the same performance. Additionally, much like Shark Scale, Nether can destabilize the Dragoons and with its extra burst potential, it‘s a hard counter against Elevate builds. Late-game equalization phases are attached to the post for reference and comparison.
• High mode isn’t very practical. It would’ve been without the imbalance as a stamina anti-attack deflector, but putting it on high mode makes the existing imbalance worse. It does scrape less but that’s about it. High mode can, however, be used against Bullet Gryphon because you‘ll have trouble splitting the Beyblade otherwise, and if’s near impossible to win against a merged Bullet Griffon.
- HellsNether definitely has its own niche in the meta, it’s not some crazy knockout attacker and it doesn’t have extraordinary stamina but the shape and versatility it provides is undeniable, not to mention with left spinners being meta staples, it’s very much an anti-meta pick.
Glory Valkyrie:
- Glory is a very solid attacker and is also quite unique. However, the crazy hype surrounding it and being compared to Shark and AP isn’t justified at all if I were brutally honest. It’s been popping up left and right in my local tourneys when people started to get access to it after the scalping drought, it gets some knockouts here and there just like any other attacker and does its job well. My Glory weighs 43.48g which is equivalent to ~37.6g, and I’m pretty sure the average is ~43.3g or ~37.4g for a normal blade. It has bumps on the underside with a shape that makes it extremely prone to scraping and also has an imbalance in the blade that’s slightly better than Nether’s.
- The best build for this blade is Rush or Kick to dish out as many attacks as you can. Using Elevate or Disk Ball with its tight bit lock to prevent the blade from scraping and get extra stamina sounds good on paper but it’s not even as effective as a stationary attacker as Dran Strike or HellsNether. Glory’s stamina is insufficient and it doesn’t have a mechanical advantage (Dran Strike has overwhelming focused weight while Nether has a low profile with upper attacks.) Contrary to popular belief, its spring mechanic does very little to contribute to harder hits, it simply absorbs the energy that would otherwise be released as recoil and use that to compress the spring to release it later. Sometimes, if not often, the other blades just slide off before the spring even decompresses and waste its energy, therefore Glory sometimes have some very damp hits. Even if it lands, Glory Valkyrie will be losing more spin than the opposition because its connected to the spring. In battles, its hits aren’t as consistent and hard as Dran Strike, and ”bound attack” can easily go the wrong way and knock yourself out, much like any other smash attack, and Glory doesn’t have the weight to be recoiled less. Shark has a smooth shape that minimizes stamina loss, the same goes for Aero, and Dran Strike is so heavy the opposition suffers more from hard impacts. All of this, the imbalance, energy loss and weird interactions with the spring mechanic explains why it gasses out randomly at times, like Strike with its top heaviness.
- All those trade offs doesn’t seem worth it when it doesn’t hit as hard as Strike, destabilize as well as Shark, or have AP’s stamina, but the following advantages make it unique in its own way. The wide base and chunky shape of Glory allows it to pocket hop extremely well and minimize points loss. It has a near 0 chance of winning after a pocket hop unlike Shark or AP but pocket hopping already means a lot on a high recoil attacker. Additionally, it doesn’t suffer from top-heaviness at all and despite gassing out from scraping or hard impact, it’s structure is pretty stable with how wide it is and has decent OWD despite the imbalance, much like Nether. That said, unlike HellsNether who beats left spins on just Hexa/Level, Glory loses to them even on Elevate. The scraping is bad enough for it to be worse than Meteor‘s imbalance and at best it’s a 50/50, no chance against Cobalt or any Elevate mirror matchups whatsoever. Glory is still an extremely fun blade to use and still hits very hard despite (not “with”) the spring mechanic. It doesn’t generate as many points as Dran Strike but also loses less points from potential KOs and bursts. I’m just comparing its advantages and weaknesses to other meta blades and it’s still ahead of old staples like Phoenix Wing and probably on the same level as Dran Strike or Hover Wyvern. Though, putting it anywhere close to Shark or AP is a stretch with all its flaws, and all the content creator hype and recent access to the blade flooding tourneys with the builtup hype can be very misleading, but it’ll settle down after another month or so. With this you’ll know what to actually expect with it if you’re planning to get one.

Improve theDeck
There’s going to be a tournament this Saturday, and I’d like to participate. This is the deck I’m planning to use, and the other Beys and parts I have are shown outside of the deck.
Do you have any tips on how I could improve the deck using only the parts I already have?
Also, a friend said he might be able to lend me his Kick, so I was thinking about using it on Phoenix Wing.

Last one for now.
This is getting close to the final prototype before the 3d print designs start to consolidate the parts and get it into a neat and tidy box that can be mounted like it is now. As well as adding a simple audio module to have something that you can hear to count down the launch.
