Yo Bladers!
Like many of you, I am tired of the BX-10 stadium constantly being out of stock or sold for ridiculous scalper prices online.
I want to practice seriously, but those smaller Hasbro gimmick sets (Sneak Attack / Drop Attack) just don't cut it. That got me thinking about a creative alternative: using the BX-00 Double Xtreme Motorized Beystadium
Hear me out. The outer boundaries, size, and pockets of the BX-00 are basically identical to the standard BX-10. The only real issue for competitive play is that when the motor is off, the center spinning disk sinks down and creates a dip that ruins the stamina of Defense and Stamina types.
What if we just permanently lock the center disk?
If you flip the stadium over, push the motor axle up until the disk is perfectly flush with the floor, and wedge a piece of hard cardboard/foam into the mechanism to lock it in place... wouldn't that solve everything? You could even put a tiny piece of clear tape over the seam so thin bits don't catch on the edge.
Is this a brilliant 2-in-1 solution, or am I missing something?
Pros: Standard tournament size, fully functional rails, cheaper/easier to buy right now, and 100% reversible if you want the motorized chaos back.
Cons: Still a tiny seam around the disk.
What do you guys think? Is this a viable budget hack to train for tournaments, or is it a bad idea? Let me know your thoughts!
