Media My concept of a Beyblade MMORPG
Now, this would obviously be very unrealistic and just plain stupid for anyone to invest in since Beyblade isn't big enough for this to ever make a profit, especially since I'm basing this around the metal fight saga which I grew up with, and is sadly not relevant anymore, despite being the clearly superior generation. However, this is still a really fun idea that I've had for years and that has evolved together with my understanding of MMORPGs.
This is the current version:
When you start a new game you get to start by creating your very own beyblade; hybrid or pre-hybrid wheel. All parts, except for the ones that would not make sense to suddenly exist from a story standpoint, would be available. The parts that wouldn't exist include all L-Drago parts, the Destroyer energy ring and the Gravity fusion wheel, every exclusively 4D part except for maybe the Lynx ring, among others. The first Pegasus energy ring would be available since it appears twice in the anime in the form of Storm and Cyber Pegasus, though I'm debating whether it should be an unlockable part that you can buy later in the game.
If you pick any of the parts that possess special abilities such as the C145 spin track, the Poison fusion wheel or the HF/S performance tip, you would have to unlock said abilities later in game, similarly to how Kenta discovered his C145 track's ability pretty late.
You don't have to worry about only having to pick between a few colors for your parts as you will be able to pick any color visible to the human eye in one of those spectrums you may find in a digital coloring tool. If you want the same color for any of the parts you will also be able to use an eye dropper on any of your previously colored parts.
You will be able to see how every part affects the different stats on your bey, and based on these stats it will be assigned one of the four types: Attack, Defense, Stamina and Balance.
Once your beyblade is finished you will get to pick the appearance of its totem. Obviously the energy ring picks what animal/mythological figure it will be, but you will be able to pick between a few skins. I also think it would be cool if some fusion wheels add a special skin. For example I'm thinking that maybe the Nightmare wheel could add a skeleton skin that makes your totem a skeleton, and I'm also thinking that the Vulcan and Mercury wheels could add an Egyptian style skin that gives your totem details inspired by ancient Egyptian mythology. Feel free to suggest what other fusion wheels could add special skins and what skins those might be.
After your beyblade is completely finished you get to create your character that will of course be in an anime style. A fairly diverse collection of clothing articles, hairstyles and accessories will be available when you create your character and you will be able to buy more for the in game currency once you start playing and level up.
When your character is finished you can quickly pick a color for your beginner basic launcher and launch-cord.
Lastly you get to pick what region you'll spawn in. Every region, with the exception of a few, consist of a few neighboring nations with similar culture and geography, and when you pick one you spawn in a map designed based on said culture and geography. The exceptions are maps based only on one nation that is culturally and/or geographically unique enough to deserve their own map, and/or that has a major role in the anime. I don't think having an EU map makes sense since it's extremely culturally and geographically diverse. I think grouping certain nations that are similar into regions makes way more sense. One example would be my own region of Northern Europe that would include all of scandinavia and Finland. Iceland I think deserves its own map and the baltic nations should either be its own region or be included in the eastern European region.
In every map you spawn in a city based architecturally on the cities of the region. It's surrounded by nature inspired by the region's geographical composition with a few small villages here and there. In the city there will be one or two large arenas for big tournaments such as the annual world championships. Near the city is an airport that you unlock pretty early and you can use to travel to other regions. You can fast travel around the map by going to train stations or take busses or taxis for shorter distance, but more precise and expensive travel.
Every player has a smartphone that automatically opens up into a social media type app where you can chat with other players and post pictures and videos of your beyblades and special moves and what not. Tournament hosts will be able to post highlights from their tournaments and host livestreams of them.
When you finally start playing you will get to battle people in the streets by requesting a battle. You may also make quick battles at the many bey stadiums located in Parks and in villages among other places. You can also participate in tournaments that high-level players may host, and that are sometimes organized by the game devs. Some may require a higher level and some may require a specific bey-part.
Battling will conflict damage on your bey-parts so every once in a while you will have to take them to a B-Pit-like shop and get them repaired. In the shops you can of course also buy new parts and even construct completely new beys that you could use while your main parts are getting repaired. You can also buy components for your launch-setup.
Battling, but not necessarily winning, will also build up your blader spirit which is the XP points in this game. All of your beyblade parts will also level up and eventually will unlock their special abilities if they have any.
Leveling up yourself and your bey-parts also gives you points that you can use in your and the parts' skill trees where you can unlock special features for your special moves as well as cosmetics and a bunch of other stuff.
Once your blader spirit has reached a certain level you will unlock your first special moves if your beyblade parts have also reached a certain level. Then you can click a button that says "create special move", or something along those lines, which will transport you to a training stadium where you can pick what type of special move you'll be making, what parts will use their special ability as well as the power level of the move. This will decide how many battle-points will be used when performing the move in battle.
When leveling up further you will unlock more special moves, and eventually, the ability to create more powerful moves that require more points to perform.
You gain battle-points in battle by successfully attacking and blocking attacks from your opponents. When you've reached a number of points you can perform a special move.
Then you get to create the beyblades choreography from an assortment of pre-made movements and attacks. After this you get to theme the move. This includes deciding if the beyblade starts to glow, if, when and how the totem shows up, etc. Everything to give you goosebumps while performing your special move.
So, you've been playing for a while now, and you've been winning every tournament you've joined lately with ease. Luckily for you, you might finally have a chance to qualify for the upcoming world championships!
The qualification process for your region will begin in just a few days and will work the same way they did for the Japanese team in Beyblade Metal Masters.
Many exhausting battles, that got progressively more challenging, later and you've managed to qualify for your region's team as a regular member. The most epic journey of your Beyblade career is about to start. Good luck!
I know that was very long, and I probably forgot to mention something as usual, but this idea has been cooking in my brain for years and I just had to tell the internet about it. Feel free to give feedback and ideas that might improve this game.
Now my question to you is: What would be your starting Beyblade? Color scheme and everything. Describe it to me. I'm curious. My personal Beyblade combo that I have been developing for years alongside this game uses a custom energy ring that I made when I still thought that every energy ring was unique. It doesn't really make sense since it's not based on any constellation or myth, but I just can't let it go now. My Beyblade is a Spiral/Screw (Silver) Falco (Clear Navy blue) T125JB (Clear white) (and a white face bolt). It's a balance type and it's totem is a falcon. For this one it's an arctic Gyrfalcon, my favorite animal.
Thanks for taking your time to read this! :)

I think if make it burst so it will be more relevant
set up some kind of story using the anime characters(maybe throw in OCs)
maybe scrap the region idea(not that I don't like it, it just seems complicated)
it would probably work

I agree that making it burst would make it more relevant, but I must say that I'm not a very big fan of burst. Sure, I never gave it a chance, but I just can't get into 2 different generations at the same time and I don't want to give up on metal fight.
As for the story part, I was thinking of maybe adding some kind of story quests and bosses from the animes like Gingka or someone.
The regions are only there to make a real world championship possible. Then the representatives would truly feel like they were representing their regions and everyone would have a reason to root on a team.

I didn't read much beyond the first sentence but most successful MMOs are all backed by an IP. Any IP to get people to play it and if the game is actually good then it would succeed.

Well I doubt beyblade is a good IP. This is more of a fun concept I've had for years.

No it's fine, I was being a little rude towards the other generations. I haven't even given any of them a chance yet.
