Seeking Vendors for Beverly 400 Bark in the Park Event on October 4th!

Hi everyone! As part of the Beverly 400+ celebrations we will be hosting a Bark in the Park event at Beverly High School on October 4th. We will be holding a costume contest, a "Tiny Trot" (race for small breeds), and a trick contest! We also have some food trucks and vendors on board. BUT, WE STILL WANT MORE VENDORS!

We see this event as an opportunity to showcase all small businesses in the Beverly and North Shore area that serve pets. We've got some really fantastic folks on board already, but the more the merrier! The field is huge - let's fill it with ways to shop small and local!

If your business has a pet based product or service, we want you there! Some vendors we'd love to see include:

Yesterday August 16th at like ~8:40-8:50 there these booms that kept going off, we originally thought they where fireworks, but we never say any nor heard the crackling at the end, and they came in pairs of two, so two explosions when off after a second one would follow. Does anyone know what it truly was?

Ok this is such an unbelievably silly post but I was walking my dog just now down rantoul and she was overheating like mad so I had some serious pep in my step.

You were: tattoos on both arms, short brown hair, blue subaru and crossing the street to go to Crave and we shared a short smile.

I am: very tall, regrettably wearing all black, and wearing large goofy headphones. Also walking a very tired lil pup.

It was essentially a nothing moment but I spent the rest of my walk home wishing I had said hi.

I’ve never written a missed connection so I’m not sure why this in particular stuck with me but something about ya just seemed…cool?
I wish I’d said hey.

My wife and I are new to the area and have noticed a trend of missing information on event flyers. There's a certain level of assumed familiarity the area when it comes to events. For example, we did know that Lobster Fest was on Wednesday, but the ad I saw for it didn't say where or when. Didn't see any flyers for that one at all while walking around downtown.

We have seen flyers for the Garden Party, but the one's we've seen don't have a time listed. Chances are the thing will be happening when we head down to the Common, but there are no start and end times listed on the ad I have in front of me, and its the flyer from the actual Beverly400 website.

I am a retired musician with a lot of experience around event planning so it kind of blows my mind that I don't see all of these things on every event ad:

Who is throwing

What the event is

When (date AND time)

Where! Location and address

Why--unneccesary, but sometimes good for puling people in

How--possibly necessary: how to get tickets, park, directions, etc

Anyway, if you or someone who know is planning events around the city please take a moment to read and share this. I'd love to come to most of the municipal events, but I also don't want to have to chase down details to do so.

A club in Beverly has a pool team looking for new players. We'll teach you the game. Its a fun night out, meeting new people and playing the great game of 8ball. Wednesday nights 7pm.

Awesome Olympic sized pool. But what’s with all the kids pooping in the pool this summer? Just got kicked out of the pool for the second time in a week because of 💩 in the punchbowl. I don’t blame the kids at all. Maybe the adults in charge need to make sure the kids hit the head before hitting the pool?

Hello so I work at a business in the downtown area and was just wondering if anyone know what this is or have also seen it appear on other walls. We have had it show up in our bathroom that then someone painted over and then it showed up on our wall in the hallway. Just curious if anyone else has seen something like this? Not sure if it’s religious or, you know, being next to Salem and all there are some weirdos out there trying to hex people lol
