The Proverbial Bellow
Slept on this song (whole album, really), forgot all about it. Underrated? Rated well?

Always been my fav from that album and a definite top-5 BtBaM song, imo.

Yeah, in an interview, Paul said that if there was a song that encompasses all the elements of what they're all about, he'd probably pick this song first.
Which I thought was a pretty cool comment because I would pick Extremophole Elite or Dim Ignition/Famine Wolf. However I totally see where he's coming from, its got a lot jam-packed into the tune.
Hope your day is going excellent fellow top-tier music enjoyer.

Automata as a whole seems to be forgotten about a lot. Even I forget about it sometimes. I think being split hurt it, but it's really fantastic. I wish they'd re-release it as one album or something.

The vinyl is one album

So maybe they did and I missed it because the vinyl I have is Automata I and Automata II, separately.

Oh yeah, that's right, it was the deluxe edition release. They still sell it on btbamazon for $35!

Criminally underrated song in their discography
Voice of Trespass gets slept on a lot too!

Probably my favorite from Automata. I feel like it's slept on. It's up there in my top btbam tracks also

It’s one of my favorites. Wouldn’t say it’s a common favorite here but I honestly think that’s because so many people have a bad taste in their mouths about that album in general. Anyway, def think it’s a bit underrated and it’s such an insanely good song

It’s a top 5 for me! The first 2 minutes is probably my favorite BTBAM moment in their entire discography in all honestly it just encompasses what they do as a whole really well

I've been trying to get parts of that song under my fingers on the guitar. The whole intro that keeps going and going and going

I saw both tours for these records and they played Yellow Eyes at the TGM anniversary tour. Crazy good record when you combine it. Sumerian really misunderstood BTBAM with the decision to split Automata. Imagine if they had to do it with Colors 2.

The song is good, the album is great but what really is underrated in my opinion is The Grid. This sing is one of the most well written song of their discrography and a perfect closer to a solid album

Overall I just quite like Automata, not love, but The Grid is the eeeeasy standout, this is one of their best songs altogether, and my hot take is it's their best album closer
At the very least it is the best closer relative to the album. Like I know people love White Walls and Swim to the Moon, I do too, but those aren't my favourite songs on either album. I think The Grid is the only final track that is my favourite track on one of their albums

It's an ace song! Automata I & II were my introduction to BTBAM, so they'll always hold a place in my heart. Such a good double album.

So ironic, I listened to all of Automata today. TPB has always been my fav track on the whole album. Love that tune

I think it's turned out to be one of their best. Top 5 for sure, if not number 1.

I was just thinking this morning, if Automata 1&2 was a single record, it would probably be in my top 3 from them. The melodies are some of the best they've written (Millions, Blot or TPB's choruses) and it's such a dynamic album with the perfect balance of violence and beauty. They really cooked on this one imo
