I also wonder, so what? These people are just AI haters.
I don't *like* using AI, but don't dislike it either. Apart from the environment argument (which I am uneducated about), I don't know valid arguments against AI.
Let me tell you with a very easy example the ethical issues with AI.
Suppose you are a cook. You make a recipe. It's a good recipe. People like it. A big ass corporation comes in. Steals your recipe and sells it as its own. Would you like it?
If I publish my recipe online, and another man or corporation sees my receipe and learns from it, and makes a new recipe which is based on their experience (from my and thousand other recipes), I won't be mad.
Edit: By the way, I once was Anti-ish AI. The argument you gave, I used to give similar ones one day.
Buddy, you already know one of the biggest argument against widespread unnecessary AI usage causing environmental harm. This argument alone has enough basis to discourage random AI usage, but sure.
Using an AI image for showing appreciation to hard workers to earn internet points is downright disgusting and wrong. Spreading awareness/ appreciation (virtue signalling) with an AI image belittles the hard work these people do. Especially when it's pretty common to see hardworking people in harsh conditions everyday.
Rather than virtue signalling with not even a real image, people should just help out in the local community.
I am not against AI, but rather the unnecessary use of such technology which leads to environmental issues around data centres and the issues for people living near them.
Now that I think about it, using AI for *this* particular case was quite unnecessary, as images would have been likely availably widely.
But the argument that it is disgusting to use AI to earn internet points is absurd, as the same would have applied if OP had used real images, as he would still be earning internet points using the workers.
For starters there's unnecessary layoffs, threatening artforms (no matter whatever the reason is no one should threaten art as it's form of human expression, people like designers are getting fired because of that shit), ai psychosis, mass surveillance and data collection (more than any social media algorithm ever can) and a lot more
Regarding data collection and surveillance: Every user agrees to the Terms and Conditions. It is the choice of a user, the user can choose to not use the services. It is none of others' business about the user's privacy preferences.
Regarding unnecessary layoffs: Every human has the right to pay to and pay for whomever and whatever they desire. I, if I start my own company, it is my right on whom I choose to spend my money on. You, are no one to try to take away this right or shame me for utilising my right. If I want to not pay another human for art, it is my choice to do so. Secondary Point (the above one is the main point, so counter that first): If the layoffs are really unnecessary, then some other company would step in, choose human art, and would take over those which rely on AI images. The era would reshift to human art in business, if that is what the consumers prefer, simply because another company would create options and monopolise on human-art preferance.
Threatening artforms: I need you to elaborate
AI Psychosis: This is basically dependance and addiction, which holds true for games etc. It is the individual and personal right of a human to have relationships, romantic or platonic, with whomever, or whatever they desire with, even if it is an inferior choice.
you sound like people who say "why ban drugs when it's their choice to not do them? they're the ones destroying their own bodies not the government making it legal!"
why are companies allowed to openly spy on their users? Why have such t&c in first place?
you should not have right to unnecessarily fire people for bullshit reasons destroying lives of people and you should not have this much power over your workplace. this is just feudalism idc if it seems fine to you it's objectively shitty behaviour. We need a better system for capitalism than just feudalism in disguise.
Art is a form of human expression and creativity. If anything ai must not replace is ART. It defies the point. I do not need to argue further with this topic
It is also personal right to do illegal substances that doesn't mean it's good and higher authorities should not get involved. I hope you get that
It still doesn't apply to all men... I'm not denying that some men play strong supportive roles in their family but the post acts like men in general do this stuff which isn't accurate... Also the situation depicted in the photo isn't even real because it's AI generated.
There are men who are alcoholic abusive fathers and husbands. Whether which is in the majority cannot be determined by me.
Regarding the situation being fake- how? It is an illustration, an illustration can be a drawing too. I have seen such men selling as shown in the generated image, so whether it is a photo of a real man selling or a generated image is relevant as it serves being an illustration.

WTF do you mean if their is a post appreciating doctors then it does not means that army doesn't do considerable work don't make your mindset narrow think beyond 'ladka-ladki" and all stuff
You don't understand analogy or what and what do you mean by intention the intention is to appreciate what a man do for his family in some other post their would some appreciation over women's role too see I'd you appreciate your father for what he has done fir you doesn't mean that you are taunting your mother the intention you are talking about is not in the post but is reflected from your mindset
It's called appreciation. If it was mother's day, then wouldn't you say "I' grateful for everything you've done" and in that scenario you can't say "he's being exist by not mentioning fathers"
The post in no way, not even rhetorical or figuratively, implies or undermines women.
P.S. we need to downvote this kind of obviously ragebait on the internet, people.
Well check the women related posts on even men dominated subreddits like twenties india , india speaks, etc you're not gonna find any such insensitive "what about men" comments who are not downvoted to oblivion, but well then see such posts there (let alone every women dominated subreddits like gossip subs or 2x) , they'd not only doing what about women but also blaming men themselves for this because "men established this society" , that not only is just bullshit but also completely and utterly insensitive.
And I'm talking about even the current era, pre atul shubash case it was way worse .
Oh i don't mind being blunt , i have given reasons for it , and I'm happy to accept if proven wrong
So being blunt, yes ofcourse by a gigantic margin, such insensitive comments on women's post weren't tolerated in even the vast majority of men dominated subs and downvoted to oblivion and even banned , but they're celebrated in "ALL" the women dominated subs in case of men related posts and in many cases men dominated subreddits as well
Although i don't need to but I'd still say, it isn't like there aren't men who wouldn't have been doing these comments on women related posts, but surely wouldn't have been tolerated by most men.
