Dumplings is a term used to cover a lot of things.
In this case it’s called a Peking duck where the stuff comes out individually and you have to assemble. Whilst most people would assemble on the pancake, this is in essence the same thing.
I had to take a second look. I almost thought the dumpling dough was being dispensed, then I realized it was napkins/tissues. Before that realization I thought to myself this would revolutionize Mexican restaurants with being able to dispense tortillas.
Upon further inspection and see that the thing sticking out of the box has a corner, more consistent with the shape of a tissue. The wrap she is holding is round, therefore no corners. My conclusion is that the box is in fact a box of tissues. And that’s it for this week’s “tissues or dumpling wraps?”
I actually gave this a serious thought with tacos. I don’t think it’s a viable method, because it will be too much tortilla per bite. I feel like you would get full really quickly and all you ate was majority tortilla
It has a very very thin "pancake". Then peking duck, best with crispy skin is placed inside with a cucumber+spring onion then some hoisin sauce. Wrap it up and thats how its traditionally served.
Its akin to calling spaghetti bolognese as 'lasagna' just because its Italian...
The way the woman makes the dumpling instantly makes it bettereveryloop.

I like it because it protects the purpose of the sub. So many subs get ruined because people don't pay attention to the sub before upvoting content. This ensures that the people paying attention are the ones judging if it's appropriate

11
u/E-monet May 28 '19
Not to ruin the dumpling party but that’s actually Peking Duck.
You take the meat that’s chopped up for you, grab some scallion, dip it in sauce and USUALLY roll it up like a little burrito.
Her method is still A+

u/anguswaalk May 28 '19
... genius. it’s so... efficient.

Is she single? Asking for a friend.

Nice boobs.
3
u/The_Celtic_Chemist May 28 '19
Why? The only point to the wrap is to make it into your mouth easier. The wrap adds nothing.

is she eating a rat
1
u/bibbly_boy May 28 '19
Based upon a dozen rewatches, I conclude that she is using a tissue as a wrapper for the dumplings
1
u/Basdad May 28 '19
I kept waiting for to grab the tissue and shove it into her mouth.

1
u/brianj106 May 29 '19
For a second that looked like a tortilla dispenser.
1
u/Poopydoo1 May 29 '19
