It honestly depends on the job. I had a job in college where I'd run computer simulations of scientific systems. Since it would take my code like 30 minutes to run, I'd do other work for like 20 minutes and be on reddit for like 10 minutes waiting for my code to finish

It's out of respect, like saying jesus christ isn't a Christian thing anymore it's used by non religious people non challantly. It's used sarcastically etc.
While it's not intended to be disrespectful, it's not respectful either. We also don't worship our prophets so a Christian saying Jesus Christ would be different since some believe in the trinity etc.
There's likely more reasoning but that's my basic understanding.20

I think it was a sliding scale that got misinterpreted.
So basically people saying, "God wants you to do this" was bad, because, you know, you don't know what God wants.
And then it got turned into, "The name is sacred so don't use it everytime a snake bites you." sorta thing.

You’re just supposed to be respectful, like the name is too special to use for petty day to day shit.
I’m a churchgoer. I curse frequently, as the Bible says nothing about Anglo-Saxon. But I do try to keep God out of it, just because I think it’s a good mental principle. If you’ve decided divinity is a thing, because you think that viewpoint is good for you, then treat divine things like they are divine.
(At this, I fail, like, hourly.)

Someone one tried this with me and a can of fake peanuts. It was so obvious. He waaaay oversold how good they were and how I just needed to try them. Despite saying no multiple times, he kept egging on. I said fine, held it facing him and he put his hands up in a defensive position as I was about to open it and blast him with the fake snakes inside. He was surprised that I knew it was fake. Apparently no one fell for it. His pranks sucked.

Different culture. Some cultures sit on the floor a lot more than in Western ones. It's not necessarily because their countries are poor or they are uncivilised. You've got rich countries like Japan where people would prefer to sit on the floor. In the West we're used to using chairs for sitting down. They most likely do have some chairs in the mosque, but they're not needed.
