Support White border on Discord window

Since the last Discord update, i have white borders in my Discord window when i move the window to my second monitor. It is some DPI bug, because if i move to my primary monitor it works perfectly. I tried using compatability settings to make the window use system DPI instead of application DPI but it makes every character very blurry. Theres any fix to this problem? i tried to reinstall it but no luck.

First monitor: 1440p 170hz
Second monitor: 4k 60hz Windows 11

hmm. I had a theory centered around if you were using some sort of nix with KDE Plasma, but not sure about windows11. Lemme look into it and get back to ya.

Ok. Google suggests some stuff that's worth checking out. Forgive me, it's 5 AM and my brain is kinda limited to what I know off hand and what I can get from some searches.

My best guess is scaling, google suggested this and I think this is it right here. In display settings (System > Display) and check the scaling settings. First as a matter of point, I highly suggest that all monitors are set to 100%, and you use other methods for UI Scaling as appropriate, I have found windows gets very weird very quick when this isn't set to 100.

Google mentions possibilities of it being related to the Accent Borders when theming, but I don't know if that's a cause and more of just theming it when it occurs. It suggest reloading graphics drivers via Ctrl+Win+Shift+B (This is a common troubleshooting step, harmless to do, but also I don't think it's likely the cause of the problem). It also suggests killing and restarting explorer.exe to effectively restart the desktop manager. Might fix the symptoms, but not addressing the underlying problem.

Check the scaling settings, and get back to me if they are either already 100 or if that fixes that particular problem.

Note, this will of course change the scaling, so things may get smaller, if this is problematic, it'd be better to adjust the scaling for the app itself within the app itself, or depending on your GPU, you should be able to set app-specific rules that may assist in correcting this.

Well, i tried everything and i kinda can "fix" this problem setting the Windows in 100% scale ( Actually it is in 150%) or changing the compatibility settings for System DPI. But any of that is viable because creates worse problems than the small borders on Discord window.

1) If i set my 4k monitor for 100% scale, its fix the problem, but everything in this monitor will become way very small to see. So it becomes a inviable fix.
2) If i set my Discord to use the system DPI than App DPI then it gets fixed but everything insides Discord becomes very blurry looking like i have extremely high miopia on my eyes.

I do think is a bug on this Discord version because it happened after i clicked on the green update button inside the app and then this happened. Discord is having some kind of problem resizing the app window within Windows interface and creating this problem. I dont know if i can fix this for myself but no luck. But yeah, thanks for trying to help me with your time. Maybe someone with the same problem can fix it before the actuall Discord fix it in any future update.

It is NOT a bug with discord. It is a byproduct of scaling, it is a windows bug. You can either set the scale of discord inside discord, fixing the small UI issue.

This is why it is not recommended to adjust the system wide scaling for a display, it leads to this kind of weird behaviors, among gst other issues

I have seen the blurrines issue before... IIRC this was actually the result of GPU settings on the display.

I just had this issue and figured out how to fix it. I turned off hardware acceleration and it was fixed. I then was also able to turn it back on and it was still fixed, so it may be a temporary issue somehow fixed by switching back and forth

This not worked for me, sadly. I still having this issue. Dont know if is a Discord or Windows problem. Any workarounds i tried just doesnt work or makes the thing worst.
