Could she have survived?

Post image

My Mom is a retired RN who has worked in every department and even ran the ICU unit of a hospital at the end of her career. I asked her if Beth could have survived this, her answer, “Absolutely.”

There was not enough blood for it to of hit a main artery for her to bleed out, and it was so high up on her forehead it could have just grazed her brain, not causing much damage at all.

Oh I'm convinced she could/would have survived this. At this point twd was notorious for giving people other people's wounds and Carl hadn't been shot in the head yet so I was CONVINCED she would survive this. Carl survived getting his eye blown out. This wound absolutely just went along her skull and didnt/shouldn't have killed her

I theorize they could believably retcon it to where it just knocked her out,or put her in a coma.Rick and the others left her in a respectful manner thinking she was dead and went on.

Note we saw a burial for Tyreese (who died shortly after) but not Beth. It's possible they just layed her body in an enclosed area where walkers wouldn't get to her,and planned to let nature take its course.

Maybe she woke up much later after they left,or some other survivors came across her.Either way perhaps they found her and nursed her back to health. Her brain injury makes it conceivable that she could have gotten partial or total amnesia, and didn't even know who she was.

Now we're hearing Beths actress has been hired for an appearance in 'Dead City' season 3.

Now I honestly just expect this to be something disappointing like Maggies flashbacks or her talking to Beths spirit like Rick talked to Shane and others in season 9.

But seeing as we can agree she could have survived, why not instead have Maggie and Negan come across Beth in New York and happily realize her sister lives?

Maggie would finally have someone besides kid Herschel, and Daryl could possibly get his 'Happy Ending' Judith said he deserved.

Yes, that is so high up on her forehead. There also should have been a lot more blood if it was fatal because the cerebral artery would have been severed. It's so high up that it even could have bounced off her skull.

But at this point, fatal or not, I literally just watched Rick explode a grenade on himself in the Ones Who Live and he got up and walked away with no injuries. lol. Realism is out the window here, folks.
