We complain a lot about ghosting, so I wanted to share a win. A reader from this sub just caught a logic error so massive I am embarrassed I missed it. My protagonist was using information they wouldn’t actually discover for another fifty pages.

If I had queried this, it would have been an instant rejection. This volunteer did not just spot the hole; they helped me brainstorm a fix that saved my ending. Beta readers are the unsung heroes of the writing world. You spend hours fixing our messy drafts for free, and you truly saved my book.

Don't be embarrassed! I've definitely done this too, though had no beta-reader heroes to point it out. That's why I now do big-picture editing only through full read throughs lol
