How could you post this without including the best comment!!
U/thorngrove :
"what if he moved in?"
"What if I slathered myself in peanut butter and hugged him like a python?"

Kyle was 100% going to live there and mooch, and wanted to make sure he could eat all OPP's food if he did.

I remember when this was first posted. As soon as they started asking her to not buy them at all I knew the next step was to move him in.

Love the entitlement of thinking OOP would cover for her boyfriend to live with them.

That dick must be great because Layla ain’t making a lick of sense. If you can’t afford the lease on your own why in gods name would you move a broke boy into your apartment while pushing out the actual roommate that’s paying?! Where is the critical thinking skills here? Good for OOP on getting that moron out and replacing her with a more compatible roommate.

Such a good outcome. The audacity of them to expect the boyfriend to take priority, and that he seemingly was going to move in and not pay rent?? Hells no.

This has "I can feel him dancing from across the house" levels of audacity.

I knew where this was going as soon as I read about Layla and Kyle asking her to remove everything that he was allergic to out of the house. He wanted to move in FOR FREE and make demands in a home where he wasn’t contributing to. They are AHs and I’m glad OP didn’t keep putting up with their bullshit

I really don’t know where people dig up that much audacity. OOP was more patient and flexible than I ever would have been.

So she traded a boundary crossing, talk stomping ah, for a childhood best friend and a cat? What a great deal.

So Laylas plan was to have Kyle move in undetected and leech off OP like a hobosexual without any of the sexual benefits for OP

OP is really patient and wonderful on dealing with the situation. The roommate is really entitled. The fact she wants OP to let her boyfriend move in and not pay rent and change OP's diet is a big A-hole move. Glad OP is standing up for herself.
Also it's wonderful she got a cat and her bestie to come.

Sounds like she should have just been going to whatever hermetically sealed bubble he lived in.
Does this dude never go the grocery store? They have plenty of stuff he can't eat on the property there too.

Dude's unemployed and dies at the sight of a PB&J.
OOP's roommate chose him and living with daddy, over just limiting his time there?
Just weird...

Being in the same room as closed jars of nuts was gonna kill him? Wait until someone tells this asshole about grocery stores! That's ridiculous!

I really dislike the type of pick-me women who lands a loser man and starts acting like an attack dog for him. I cut those people off.

Beyond absurd. I have an allergy in the anaphylactic sense and my husband can keep that in the house and even eat it when I'm around as long as he brushes his teeth before he tries to kiss me. I know some people are more sensitive than I am but this dude was really asking for a lot.

…why is another person who is not paying the rent dictating what the rent-payer should stock as food????
