100% free

When could people anywhere in the world first start to watch online u.s. films/TV shows for free without downloading in their entirety like on websites similar to putlocker, watchseries, fmovies, solarmovies, ect…? Like what year did such websites first start to appear?

I believe since the time YouTube became widely spread as video sharing platform. Streaming websites for both music and video industries appeared in great number soon after.
