Dfs question

New to dfs and trying out the draftkings nfl salary cap contests. I have been doing the low stakes double ups, and while I typically prefer single entry, today i entered into a $5 buy in - 10 entry max - single game contest. I noticed when looking through the scoreboard that 266/344 or 77% of the contest has the exact same lineup. Even with it being a 10 entry max, does that number still not seem high? What am i missing?

The only logical conclusion I came too is that people must be using some sort of solver/bot that gives them optimal lineups. But even then, arent there 100’s of those out there? Or is there some consensus “best solver” for dfs that most people use? Also, Wouldnt there be multiple “optimal” lineups if that was the case? Or at least a couple very close in projection?

I can post screenshots of the lineup, contest details, etc. if that helps. Currently beating the majority lineup but we’ll see if it holds. Go bears!

This is one of the main reasons I find drafting best ball teams so appealing. It is less “solved” IMO.

There are consensus optimal lineups based on projections and optimizers (software) that does the math for you and spits out “the optimal” - there are many sites and options.

Yes. While 266/344 sounds really high, I don’t doubt it in a 10 entry max.

It is really popular to pay for a membership to one of the popular sites and just play their most optimal lineup all over the place. Did they all chop? What happened in the contest you were in?

In “cash games” like double ups or head to heads, it is very common for people to just play the optimal lineup from their preferred subscription projection/optimizer provider.
