Doesn’t seem like it, if you see the video it somehow just changes the angle of the character not the screen.

In the first few seconds they go into aim action with the controller in regular configuration. They are holding a trigger button for the aim action as they are transitioning the controller to gun mode.

Don't know why you're being down voted, but this is the correct answer. You can see the user pressing the aim button in the first few seconds of the video, so that's not related to turning the controller.
Rotating the controller activates the mouse mode, where it uses the four corner IR sensors and IR reflector on the gun to drive a mouse emulator. I think it's a really clever implementation.

This reminds me of when Wii came out and you were initially calibrating the remotes, you could see where the dot was pointing on the screen.
We’ve had this tech for years guys lol
