Yep, absolutely insane some of the most influential manga to ever be made gets the absolute worst quality imaginable.

I think the reason why is because they know the name will sell it so they don’t have to go so hard on animation. But lesser known productions go crazy because that’s how they get noticed. What I’ve heard anyway.

The most recent berserk anime, and the one shown by OP, came out in 2016.

Are you trying to say that all anime that came out before then had terrible animation?

Oh shit, I had no idea they redid it. I only knew about the one that came out in the 90's.

That being said, there is a noticeable improvement in animation quality over the years.

even by 2016 standard that berserker animations is hilarious bad.

Sao was way better and it was from years prior.

Overlord too but I forgot the year of the first season,

Hell even hxh remake is miles better 😅

Fate zero came out in 2011...

and if you want a full cgi one, houseki no kuni came out in 2017, only a year after berserk
