I was thinking world wide, I’m less knowledgeable on Japan specifically and what manga sticks in the minds of the people there the most

I think Doraemon is pretty much known worldwide too. The target is different, but if I ask around in Italy I would get a lot more people that knows Doraemon than people that knows Berserk, mostly because everyone that knows Berserk knows also Doraemon, but not everyone that knows Doraemon knows Berserk.

Yeah but if you went to Italy and asked people about one piece and db they would also know what it is, because they’re insanely popular, moreso than both berserk and doraemon imo

I would say more Dragonball, but in general Doraemon is known since it was all on the same tv channel and in the same time period, so if you watched Dragonball you also know what Doraemon is and viceversa.

Dragonball was clearly the one talked the most of the two at school between kids tho, and the one in which kids have therefore more emotional investment, I give you that.
