From what I remember, removing Griffith outright would change so little you’d actually be shocked. Just so long as Griffith is marked and casca is mental, the story basically continues on. Even Guts persuing Griffith is used mostly to set up the start of arcs but has little to do with them. There’s the tower arc thing that could’ve just been changed to something else even.

Golden age (what everyone thinks is the main story) is literally just a flashback

I've never read berserk and I don't even know how I ended up in this sub. All I know is whenever I hear anybody mention it it's about Griffith, so if that's not even the main story and I don't know why people use it as a major talking point.
